My role was to promote Investments opportunities from ASEAN region
to Mauritius and Africa. I am also responsible to promote trade opportunities for Mauritian products to be
exported in ASEAN. Major accomplishments are the application of a Bunker terminal in Mauritius, the setting
up of a couple of GBC companies in Mauritius for Commodity traders to enjoy and effective tax rate of 3%. I
have also successfully facilitated several groups to set up holding companies in Mauritius to drive and
consolidate their interests in Africa through Mauritius to enjoy the benefits of DTAAs and IPPAs Mauritius has
with the African states. On the trade side, focus has been on export of Rum, Sugar and Tea from Mauritius to
ASEAN countries.

• Promoted investment opportunities from the ASEAN region to Mauritius and Africa.
• Facilitated trade opportunities for Mauritian products destined for export to ASEAN
countries.
• Secured the application of a Bunker terminal in Mauritius and established several CBC
companies, enabled Commodity traders to benefit from an effective tax rate of 3%.
• Successfully guided multiple groups in establishing holding companies in Mauritius,
consolidating their African interests and leveraging Mauritius Double Taxation Avoidance
Agreements (DTAAs) and Investment Promotion and Protection Agreements (IPPAs) with
African states.
• Focused trade initiatives on exporting Mauritian Rum, Sugar, and Tea to ASEAN nations.

Promote and secure commodities export from Africa to Asia mainly on soybeans and sugar.

• Directed global trading operations in Singapore, specializing in Trading as Principal with
an annual turnover exceeding USD 9 billion.
• Oversaw Finance, Human Resources, Corporate Services, and IT infrastructure teams for
the South East Asia hub and part of South Asia hub countries.
• Managed numerous regional and global merger and acquisition transitions, leading the
integration process for Finance and HR departments.
Implemented strategic growth plans, profit protection strategies, annual budgets, Key
Performance Indicators (KPls), cross-selling metrics, resource allocation, operational plans,
and corporate policies. Collaborated with leadership to enhance the effectiveness and
efficiency of internal and external customer experiences.
• Championed the execution of all global corporate initiatives across Operations, Finance,
and HR. Spearheaded the implementation of ERP systems and a performance
management system, achieving operational excellence with measurable KPls.
• Orchestrated the establishment of numerous subsidiary entities for the group across Africa
and Asia.

Responsible for the operations of the Mauritius, South Africa, Madagascar and other satellite offices in the sub
Saharan Africa of Li and Fung.
