Procurement of Specialized Subcontracts involves - Evaluating the ERP Subcontracts request for adequacy of information, Clarifications and coordination with requester for additional information depending on the nature of job, defining source selection criteria in coordination with project manager, guiding the team members in floating the enquiry, coordinating pre-bid conferences, ensuring all pre bid clarifications reach all vendors, preparation of techno commercial comparison for critical jobs, verifying the techno-commercial comparisons prepared by team members, negotiation, selection of subcontractor best matching with the source selection criteria, coordinating for quality system registration and audit of new subcontractors, preparation of subcontract orders and Letter of Intent for the critical jobs, verifying subcontract order and LOI prepared by the team members. Ensuring approvals from concerned authorities before issuing the contract to the subcontractor

Soliciting the feedback about Selected Subcontractor’s performance and coordinating with project manager and subcontractor to sort out the issues regarding the performance.

Civil and Marine Infrastructure - Major activities are structural steel building fabrication and erection, Aluminium works, UPVC works, HVAC duct work, Painting, Water Distribution Networks, STP project (EPC) etc. Major Projects are Bait Al Barka Multipurpose Hall (RCA), Wudam Jetty (MOD), Nizwa Appeal Court, Duqm Dry Dock, Duqm Beach Hotel, Barka Water Distribution Network, Sumail Water Distribution Network (PAEW), Rub Al Khali Boarder Post Complex (ROP), Duqm STP, Halban STP, Darsait STP (HAYA).

Roads and Bridges - Major activities are bridge painting, moulds, utility relocation, earth works, Traffic Signal etc. Major Projects are Batinah Express Way, Muscat Express Way etc

Project Savitr: Construction of 10, 000 TPA Silicon Carbide Micro Grit Plant
Preparation initial P&I D, Studying existing process and preparation of milestones, initial schedule and budget

Phase 1: Set Up Module 1 of 2500TPA production capacity - Responsible for supply, installation, testing and commissioning of compressed air and cooling water systems, where compressed air is the main raw material for the jet milling

Preparation of WBS for the responsible area based on the project requirements and scope statement

Determining of capacity and selection of suitable equipments and components for the system which includes, Compressors (6500cfm capacity), suitable air dryers, pumps, cooling towers, valve and pipe
Preparation of detailed P&I diagrams and flow diagrams for the entire process based on critical process requirements
Preparation of Isometric pipeline drawings (AutoCAD) where space is one of the main constrain.

Estimating the resource requirements including material quantity, estimates for the responsible work package, preparation of schedule and budget
Preparation of ERP requests for procurement, RFQ, Technical Comparisons and Support Commercial

Negotiations for the responsible work package including the subcontracting part for fabrication and installation.
Vendor evaluation visits and approval of machinery before dispatch.

Execution activities including installation, testing and commissioning of machinery, fabrication, hydro testing and handing over of the pipe lines

Providing updates regarding the progress of work and make corrective actions to bring the activities to achieve the project scope. Request for changes if any important process benefits are identified.
Certification of invoices

Evaluation of completed works against baselines, follow up for procurement closures and Handing of the total system including all the design documents, drawings and other important documents.

Phase Intermediate: Stabilization of Module 1 process line & Implementation of Best Manufacturing Practices and Research & Development

Shift in charge till the stabilization of the process

Mender the new manufacturing team to make them easily understand the technical aspects of the system and how to do the preparation of availability charts, yield charts, Maintain stock records of both RM and FG using ware house management software, planning of activities for the shifts, handing over of the shift to next in charge

Implement best manufacturing practices like 5S, Kaizen etc. Note: Selected as Internal 5S Auditor. Help in implementation of ISO systems by preparation of SOP

Guiding the team members in Preventive and break down maintenance of equipment like Jet Mill, Air Classifier, Bag Filters, Rotary Valves, Compressors, Dryers, RM Handling Systems and MHE

Once the system is stabilized involved in research and development activities in order to develop new techniques which can be implemented in the next production module to improve the performance, yield and quality of the product. Which involved trials in pilot plant by varying various process parameters, making modifications in the machineries, Trials to improve output of screeners, preparation of trial reports, introduction of new testing machineries like lapping machine, Process mapping of the existing system to identify the bottlenecks.

Phase2: Set up 2nd Module of 2500 TPA Capacity- Responsible for Supply, installation, testing and commissioning of all the process equipments including compressed air system.

Preparation of WBS for the total scope of work, detailed planning for the total scope of work. (Primavera) Preparation of detailed design in close coordination with the consultant and estimating all the materials

including structural steel, pipes, fittings, valves, necessary equipments etc.
Preparation of ERP requests, RFQ, techno-commercial comparison, finalization of vendors and contractors for the work packages.
