• To ensure effective Logistics support to the organization by ensuring effective uses of company resources, its maintenance and hiring as necessary.
• Maintain record of change in traffic rules and regulations notified time to time.
• Maintain job wise records of vehicles hired and ensure expenditure is within the budget.
• Generate various monthly reports for the scrutiny of Stores & Logistics Manager.
• Arrange documents required from/for government departments and clients for logistics activities as and when required.
• Coordinate and negotiate with 3PL companies for logistics requirements and maintain all relevant records.
• Keep updated information about the trailers/consignment.
• Maintain record of expenditure on all company vehicles.
• Visit and assess the site conditions of major projects to ensure proper logistics support.
• Verify that the drivers have performed the duties assigned to them satisfactorily and monitor/record the mileage and time taken against each trip.
• Maintain drivers/operators time sheet timely and accurately.
• Ensure that company assets/materials loaded in the vehicles are taken care of and delivered to the destinations intact on time. Ensure that drivers follow general guidelines and regulations in loading the vehicles; instruct/brief them as necessary.
