Lead Project Engineer for various projects within refinery from Conceptual
design, Detailed engineering, Material Requisitions, Technical Bid Evaluation,
Procurement, Design Review Meetings, Factory Acceptance Tests,
Construction, Execution/Commissioning, Functional testing to Closing.
• Scope covers all Control & Automation equipment/systems : DCS, SIS, PLC,
F&G, Analyzers, Metering & Field Instrumentation.
• Review Engineering & Construction packages from Cost, Schedule, Standards,
Specifications, Deliverables, Safe execution & Quality design point of view.
• Identifying improvement opportunities to Meet business needs, Participate in
Cost/benefit analysis and Review Control system modification or upgrades.
• Participating in Feasibility study, HAZOP study, SIL verification programs,
Safety Requirement Specifications, Safety & Quality audits, Field surveys,
Workshops, FAT/SAT & Alarm management studies.
• Trouble shooting & problem resolving for any outstanding issues related to
Control systems in close coordination with the Operations, Process &
Maintenance departments.
• Conducting Risk assessment and Job Safety Analysis for critical activities and
supporting Flawless project commissioning & Startup.
• Conducting training programs related to system awareness, maintenance &
work instructions for technicians & fresh engineers.
• Working experience & Trainings attended on Foxboro DCS, Bently Nevada
Turbovisory monitoring system, Supervisory control and data acquisition
(SCADA) systems and Triconex, Woodward, ICS Triplex, Allen Bradley &
Siemens PLC systems.
In charge of New upcoming export division project of 2 X Polypropylene
production lines in Refinery.
• Participation in Kickoff meetings, Vendor finalization & System review meetings
for the new upcoming projects.
• Preparation of System database, IO segregation & Control system network
design.
• Scheduling and coordinating with Contractors for timely completion of the
commissioning of projects.
• Preparation of Operating philosophy, Scope/logic's design documents,
Configuration of various interlocks as per operation requirement in control
systems.
• Control system health check, monitoring and diagnostics in the system
management.
• Operation and System Administrative activity of Automation systems, including
regular back ups, system audits & remote login.
• IPF (Instrumented Protective Functions) study & implementation for major
equipment to enhance process safety & reliability.
• Working experience & Training attended on Foxboro DCS, Bently Nevada
Turbovisory monitoring system and Triconex, Siemens, Allen Bradley PLC systems
.
• Manpower and Spares management.
• Successfully Commissioned @ 5 major projects on Automation/Control system
upgrades.
Maintenance of Field Instrumentation & Automation systems.
• Carrying out configuration changes, program/logic modifications in DCS & PLC.
• Assisted in successful commissioning of projects on Boiler, Reverse Osmosis plant,
Steam turbine & Lime Kiln control systems.
• Spares & Manpower management
• Review & Updating of Interlock logic diagrams, P&I diagrams & Maintenance
documents.
• Attended System development and Factory Acceptance Tests for upcoming
projects
• Working experience & Trainings attended on Yokogawa DCS and Siemens,
Woodward & Bently Nevada Turbovisory monitoring system.
