Currently I’m working as Lead Electromechanical Engineer under Technical Affairs (Building & Water Projects department) of Qatar General Electricity & Water Corporation (Kahramaa), Doha, Qatar, focusing the Overall project management and Cross functioning of Electrical, MEP, Automation, Control, E&I Engineering for the medium & large scale Capital projects in EPC/EPIC/EPCM/PPP manner for Clean/sustainable Energy initiatives including Green Buildings, Renewable Energy (Solar/PV), Urban/public buildings, Municipal developments, Dry & Wet Utilities (Electricity, Water & Cooling), District flow metering and distributions, Mission critical facilities developments, Enterprise/EDGE Datacenters, , Corporation Asset Management projects, EV charging infrastructure developments and Digitalizing Energy/Utilities in this region.

Job Responsibilities :-

• Monitoring & Control of Engineering & Construction works for Corporation own Tenders for water /Wastewater, utilities, Facility Development, Green & commercial building, Towers, Renewable energy, Data centres & ICT infrastructure for SMART Water & Digital water management, Advance metering, Meter data management, National Water Control Centres, Asset management’s, Utility distribution & district flow metering, E-mobility etc .
• Reporting to the Director/Manager of the Municipal Public Works Projects Department, working closely with the other employees of the Department and stakeholders/end-users as PMO Project Manager, Resident Engineer, Electromechanical (MEP) Lead Engineer for large capital projects & mega projects.
• Performing the project execution associated with various systems for the Utilities and Corporate services such as Advance metering interface (AMI), Automatic Metter Reading systems (AMR), Meter data management systems (MDM’s), Corporate Network Infrastructure, Utility & Energy Management systems, EV fleet Management (OCPP), National Water data networks, SMART water Data networks, Electricity system Controls, Distribution system controls, Corporate Security Management systems (SMS) etc.
• Leading, Managing, and delivering Electrical, Electromechanical (MEP), building management, ELV, Mission critical, Telecom, Instrumentation, Fire protection, Control & automation work packages in multiple projects.
• MEP Coordination including Process, BMS, HVAC, Water supply, Gas distribution, Firefighting to execute work as per project schedule, Quality standards, Scope, and Cost.
• Identifying and tracking the interface area and Cross function between Civil, Architectural, Mechanical, Electrical, Process works & defining action plan.
• Review and Development of design specifications, technical drawings & design calculations, Pre-qualifications, Material Data sheets & Submittals, Shop drawings, Method statements etc by considering Regulations, codes & standards, Project scope of work, BOQ's and Actual operation requirements.
• Inspecting material received from vendors/suppliers & monitoring subcontractor’ quality in work and ensuring the implementation of Quantity Surveying services, including cost advice, cost control, value engineering and financial management of construction projects from inception to completion.
• Preparation & review of technical packages like Load calculations, Electrical/MEP Equipment Selections Power & Control/instrumentation Cable sizing, Layouts, Design & Shop drawings, Design calculations, Single line Diagrams (SLD), P&ID’s, Control Schematics, I/O schedules, Loop drawings, System Architectures, Material Selections, FDS.
• Reviewing and developing the Contractual, Design, procurement, Construction and Commissioning deliverables & artifacts such as RFI, RFT, RFQ, QCP, ITP, FAT & SAT documents.

Worked as Electrical Engineer in the Oil & Gas (onshore) EPC projects and responsible to the Project Construction & Site Management activities of complete Electrical, Instrumentation & Automation systems.

Key Responsibilities of Position:
• Reading and Review of electrical design specifications and technical drawings.
• Preparation of shop drawings and related documents using computer-assisted engineering and design software.
• Making sure all electrical engineering works are fit for purpose and project timescales.
• Attending meetings and co-ordination with client, consultant and site peoples. And writing reports and giving presentations to managers and clients.
• Inspection and Monitoring of day by day work status.
• Prepare Work permit system, job safety plan, Dynamic Risk review, Tool box Talk etc.
• To monitor Project Quality, Responsible for Quality Control program & Inspection Test Plan implementation.
• Inspection and witness of all electrical related activities.
• Preparation of MAS, RFI, QCP etc.
• Monitor work at field to ensure that a quality work environment is maintained.
• Ensure the latest revision of all Contract Documents, Drawings, Specifications, SP, PR, DEP and Standards required for Quality Assurance, Quality Control and inspection are available at site.
• Conduct Electrical inspection as per approved ITP, Inspection Checklist, Test Report Quality Plans and Construction Drawings.
• Identify & process the Construction Change Notes (CCN), Site Instruction (SI) and Change Orders.
• Co-ordinate with engineering dept. to resolve any Engineering issues effectively through NCR Systems.
• Liaising with and monitoring third party contractors.
• Prepare Internal Punch list during Inspection and Surveillance.
• Participate in Final Walk through with Client.
• Ensure adequate Corrective measures are implemented in cases of noncompliance.
• Review / check as built drawings.
• Prepare Project handover package.
