BRIEF RESPONSIBILITIES:
 Contract Management/administration - identification/submission, and settlement of Claims with the Client, Subcontractors and Suppliers. Monitoring of ‘scope creep’/potential changes during Contract execution; Contractor’ obligations/ rights; progress monitoring; progress payment, etc.
Assertion of Contractor’s rights, issuance of Notices, advise to Project Management (PMT) and other function teams in relation to commercial/ technical issues with Client, Subcontractors and Suppliers.

 Review of Tender Documents for Contractual & Commercial issues, Risk Assessment, preparation of Risk Mitigation plan, Bidding strategy. Negotiation with Client, Subcontractors, and Suppliers for Contractual & Commercial terms.

 Subcontract / Procurement Management: Preparation & finalization of Subcontract / Procurement terms to ensure the risk mitigation of main contract’s obligation on back to back basis. Review & closure of exceptions requested by the Subcontractors / Suppliers to the terms and conditions.

 EPC Proposals and FEED tenders in Oil and Gas sector for enhancement of Oil and Gas production and development of new field for National Oil Companies within UAE/ Kingdom of Saudi Arabia.

 Drafting & formulating of MOUs, Joint Venture / Consortium Agreements, Subcontracts, Licensing Agreements, Confidentiality Agreements and Sponsorship Agreements.

Brief Responsibilities
➢ Develop and implement Master Contract Strategy with a major focus on Drilling & Completion services for different Blocks acquired under Production sharing environment.

➢ Assist in the strategic planning for procurement activities/work programs of the Assets/User Groups, develop and evaluate vendors, review and present information in specific formats/reports, provide advice on operations & logistics issues IN ORDER TO ensure timely delivery of quality materials & services to users.

➢ Preparation of Tender documents document for potential Contractors/supplier shortlisted based on the detailed evaluation criteria. Issuance of Tender document & resolution of Exceptions & Deviations taken by bidders on equitable basis. Proposal review with Technical & commercial group. Preparation of Commercial bid analysis. Negotiation with the prospective contractor for finalization of delivery, pricing & various terms & conditions. Draft Contract preparation, internal approvals for award & compliance of all PSC requirements. Execution of Contract with the Contractor.

➢ Plan and direct strategic procurement, contracts, administration and analysis. Manage all contracting activities for drilling & completion operations including Equipment, services & Material etc.

➢ Attending all Contractual issues of scope, cost, delivery for meeting the project schedule. Close co-ordination with user & contractor for change order proposal and closing out of Change order by issuing amendment as per the Contractual provisions. Interface and provide all information for contractual discussions including any dispute to higher management / Legal Advisor. Preparation for Dispute Resolution.

➢ Procurement of Imported parts/Machine, strategic capital equipment worth INR 1250 Million from different parts of world like UK, Germany, Italy, France & Japan.
➢ Negotiations with International suppliers for competitive overall procurement cost, well versed with international contract terms, payment modes & methodologies, logistics & custom clearance, government levies like Excise, Customs, Sales & Service tax, etc.
➢ Identifying the Global Sourcing opportunity within the group supply chain for procurement leverage. Developing cost effective ways to implement Sourcing decisions and optimizing the logistic costs.
➢ Selection & appointment of the freight forwarder & clearing agent, and monitoring their performance, on cost, transit time, promptness & quality of documentation on regular basis. Keeping track of ocean & airfreight rates movement in different sector.
➢ Ensuring timely Clearance at different ports, Liaison with the Govt. Authorities such as Customs, Excise, and DGFT etc.
➢ Solving quality/credit, warranty issues with international suppliers.
➢ Minimizing the inventory carrying cost with reduction in overall transit time, clearance time with the objective of zero production loss.
➢ Optimization of Imported inventory by using six-sigma techniques. Analyzing the variance in Sales, production, lead time & taking corrective action to meet the budgeted inventory norms.

Dantal Hydraulics Limited (from Aug 96 to Sep 2001)

➢ Dantal Hydraulics Limited, Manufacturer of Hydraulic Cylinders, System, Winches, Aviation trolleys, Collapsible bridge & Hydraulics for Missile launching Vehicle, having technical & marketing tie up with Danfoss Hydraulics, Denmark & TMA, Italy.

Supplier Development-
➢ Selection & evaluation of supplier based on SMP (supplier management process), cost estimation & finalization of individual component with Supplier in line with the commodity strategy. Monitoring of the supplier rating on the basis of Quality, Cost, Delivery, Innovation and Management on regular basis, and allocation of business shares on the basis of supplier rating.
➢ Localization of imported material, preparation of localization plan, ensuring the development as per the agreed plan, controlling the inventory for timely cut in of the localized parts such as fabricated, machined, castings, forging, hardware, etc.
