Responsible for setting up the Sales & Distribution Infrastructure for Food Division for Domestic & Overseas Operations.
In the process, got involved at the Organization level and managed teams from Production, QC, Procurement, Engineering and Systems, assisting the Stake Holders to revive the Plant and make it running. The new role encompassed running the Company as a Business Head and making it fully operational.
Credited with putting the Company back on track and business worthy. Initiated the first Domestic as well as Overseas Sales.
Responsible for delivering the Divisional topline and bottomline thru a dedicated team of NSMs / RSMs / ASMs and Front Line Field Force.
The Role encompassed end to end business responsibility including Principal (Companies whom we represent) Management, Route to Market, Budget Delivery, Divisional Profitability and Team Management.
Imparting Strategic thought to FMCG & Staples Category and Incubating the New Businesses which included GT Distribution and New Product Development (Private Label)
Led the Retail Division thought process on providing strategic direction to FMCG and Staples Categories and Initiated Company's foray into new areas which will make it move away from being only Milk focused to a complete FMCG Organization. The first movement being entry of the Company FMCG products into General Trade.
The Role encompassed being accountable for Store Chain level bottom line, top line, contribution & other incomes and Merchandising aspects ranging from Catchment Analysis, Range Benchmarking, Assortment Freezing, Pricing, Promotions, Fill Rates & Store Flow
Credited with getting a pragmatic shift in the Organization in terms of Inventory management, Replenishment processes and transition from Buying to Merchandising
Heading PAN INDIA Modern Trade - Being responsible for Strategic Planning wrt to trading terms and standardization of processes. Was instrumental in initiating steps to hive off the Divisiona as a separate SBU with its own costs and profits - A PnL role involving budgeting, manpower, spends and promotions. The focus was towards working on Profitability by Chains and then devising appropriate strategies for each
Led the entire Sales and Distribution for UP and Uttaranchal through a distribution network comprising of 151 RS, 28 Super Stockists and 552 sub stockists. The said area is one of the biggest in the country, contributing 65% to the regions and 15% to the country’s turnover
