Facilities & Administration Manager at Panasiatic Call Centers
  • Philippines
  • August 2010 to October 2014

Panasiatic Call Centers is one of the largest business process outsourcing enterprise in terms of facilities and workforce specializing in inbound contact center services in Negros Occidental, Philippines. It is currently based in Bacolod City with facilities in two (2) buildings. Its operations are managed through business units utilizing an average of 3, 000 square meters per floor. Each business unit has 400 seats. The two (2) buildings combined provide for a total of more than 20, 000 square meters and 2, 400 seats with a capacity to host 7, 000 employees working in three shifts.

My first mandate was to organize the support services of the enterprise when it completed construction of its first three-story facility and started its operation in 2010. Part of the initial mandate was to identify the key services needed to prepare the facility for operations and to organize a core team to deliver the services. The next phase was to build the processes and systems that will work seamlessly and to train the core team not only to deliver the services, but to acquire the necessary competence by building on existing skills. We initiated continuous drills to enable team members to master skills and to hammer in a desired work ethic within the pioneering teams. Once the teams were able to work smoothly together we eventually created a structure for the department in the form it is today. I drafted the first batches of standard operating procedures and later on delegated this task to team leaders after doing a procedure writing workshop with the first generation of team leaders. The department that started with about 20 people in 2010 is today made up of teams with a total strength of more than 70 people. This number will double once the second facility becomes fully operational.

I assumed responsibility for four (4) clusters of operational support services: Engineering and Utilities Security and Safety, Housekeeping, and Administrative Services.
