• IT Enabled monitoring of tankage in the plant and at the terminals for logistics management, using spread sheet models.
• Finalizing the functional specification of Software packages for Oil movement information system (OMIS), Tankage information system (TIS), Digital blender (DB), the Blend optimization supervisory system (BOSS), and Terminal automation system (TAS)
• I was part of a team involved in identifying Information requirement, information flow strategies and testing the Real time process information and management system, (InfoPlus.21, being supplied by M/s Aspen tech. USA) and the Yield accounting software (being supplied by M/s Sigmafine).for the Reliance refinery complex.
• Pre factory acceptance test and approving the prototypes, for the Oil Movements and Blending Software packages mentioned above. This involved simulated testing of the software, functions, GUI, etc.
• Factory and Site acceptance test for the Oil movement information system, Tank information system, and Digital blender onsite. This involved testing the software, with help of a testing procedure.
• Faculty member for training the Panel operators / other users on the Software applications.
• Finalizing the operational philosophies vis-à-vis operations, control logic and Blending schemes review for the oil movement and storage areas with Bechtel.
• Made a continuous blend properties prediction model, which was being used for the predicting and testing the blends for the first few months of the refinery run.
