His current role is as Head of Advanced Chemical Engineering (ACE) in KBR Pune Technology Center, where his respoonsibilities include setting up the ACE CoE from scratch, team building and global business development, Pre Sales, overseaing delivery of large projects globally, Setting up delivery capabiulities for Operations and Maintainance system, Systems integration, simulation and Performance monitoring for Hydrocarbon Sector worldwide.

In his last role at IBM he led the Process Manufacturing and EHS consulting practice in India / South Asia for Oil, Industrial and Core Sectors. He was the IBM Global Subject Matter expert on Downstream. He also worked extensively in developing the Mining Sector Market for IBM
He Also Started a New consulting practice in Carbon Management, Sustainability and Climate Change focused on the Natural Resources Industry.
During his consulting career he has worked for a diverse list of global and local clients from the Oil ( All Indian Refineries, British Petroleum, Amoco, Arco, Chevron, Shell, Aramco, KNPC etc.), Power, Infrastructure, Pharmaceutical, Steel, Metals, Mining, Fertilizer, Retail and government domains. He has played the roles of Business Development and Strategy, Principal Consultant, Domain expert, Business Analyst, Project and Program manager and practice leader. He has been responsible for strategy, team building and global partnerships. His consulting experience has been mainly in areas of business case preparation for investments, applying core skills to give fit to purpose solutions and implementation, systems integration with partner solutions. He has worked in various countries in America, Europe, Middle east, Africa and Asia.
• Heading the Process Industries Practice which was started from scratch as a new competency in the Consulting and Enterprise group. Grew the practice from nothing to $ 6 MM in 3 years.
• Responsible for 11 projects handling a diverse team of 60 people across 4 countries.
• Due diligence studies for evaluation of IT investments for manufacturing systems and integration with i2 and SAP in Ispat group Steel plants in South Africa.
• Business case and IT investment master plan for manufacturing companies like Mital Steel, J&J, BPCL, HPCL, IOCL, Reliance, Balco, SAIL etc. companies
• Project delivery leader for a large Quality management project (LIMS) for GlaxoSmithKline, Support projects for GE, BP, Mital Steel and Chevron.
• Presented vision document, in once in five year workshops for British Petroleum on reaching best in class, for technology in areas of Asset availability, information management and supply chain management.
• Road shows and proposal defense with client teams and CIOs visiting Satyam.
• Assisting the Pre-Sales team on Proposal preparation, effort estimation, and supporting the global sales team on domain issues.

• Reengineering formats for MIS at various levels, and worked on automated data inputs to reduce manual inputs in SAP.
• Project manager for the project to implement Aspen IP.21 Information management system and Inferential Sensor Aspen IQ for the petrochemical plants.
• IT Enabled monitoring of tankage in the plant and at the terminals for logistics management, using spread sheet models.
• Finalizing the functional specification of Software packages for Oil movement information system (OMIS), Tankage information system (TIS), Digital blender (DB), the Blend optimization supervisory system (BOSS), and Terminal automation system (TAS)
• I was part of a team involved in identifying Information requirement, information flow strategies and testing the Real time process information and management system, (InfoPlus.21, being supplied by M/s Aspen tech. USA) and the Yield accounting software (being supplied by M/s Sigmafine).for the Reliance refinery complex.
• Pre factory acceptance test and approving the prototypes, for the Oil Movements and Blending Software packages mentioned above. This involved simulated testing of the software, functions, GUI, etc.
• Factory and Site acceptance test for the Oil movement information system, Tank information system, and Digital blender onsite. This involved testing the software, with help of a testing procedure.
• Faculty member for training the Panel operators / other users on the Software applications.
• Finalizing the operational philosophies vis-à-vis operations, control logic and Blending schemes review for the oil movement and storage areas with Bechtel.
• Made a continuous blend properties prediction model, which was being used for the predicting and testing the blends for the first few months of the refinery run.
Masters in Carbon on a Shell Chevening Scholarship specialising in Global Warming and Business and Scientific ways of dealing with it.
Bachelor of Technology in Chemical Engineer, with distinction.
