SYNOPSIS
•A qualified professional with 25 years of experience in Instrumentation Maintenance, pre-commissioning, commissioning & Revamping. Presently engaged with KBR for commissioning of project in Saudi Arabia for SADARA-DOW chemical's joint venture I was been assigned with Wood group PSN(Kpop) (AGIP KCO) as an Instrument
Joined as Sr. Instrument commissioning technician for On-shore Gas plant KAZ operating project in Kazakhstan on 28/28 cycle for commissioning activities along with team of 4 technicians for loop-checking & trouble shooting activities. Simulation of sub-station switch-gear loops ‘having MULTLIN GE make relays for 10kv & MM2 & FM2 relay for LV switchgears incorporated with Foxboro Invensys DCS installed in SIS. Apart from the above also involved for resolving the punches getting cleared from the contractors, Loop checking & configuration of BIFFI make motorised valve incorporated with DCS, Co-ordinating with operations personnel for start-up activities & general readiness of utilities & plant. Well conversant with PTW & TBT & verifying loop-sheets & documentation. Permit receiver from commissioning side for sub-station loops & ICC. Well conversant with Triconex ESD graphic console system enabling for checking the ESD level cause & effects also fixing the loop problems during simulation of ESD SIL Levels & SIFS. Ability of diagnosing Fault with sub-station loops being mapped with RTU-DCS of Foxboro IA-series system
Joined as an instrument supervisor for HPCL-HMEL Refinery assigned for Pre-commissioning & commissioning activities Accountabilities being shared are generation of punches & loop checking for Foundation field bus instruments & convectional DCS loops hooked-up with Yokogawa Centium-3000 system

* Generation of Final punch list against the RFI (Ready for inspection) with reference to P&ID. & categorize the punches as per priority with CSU team.
* Performed supervision for impulse & pneumatic tubing as per Hook-up drawings for field mounted transmitters, control valves & ESD valves.
* Allying up as witness on behalf of Saudi Kay an for Loop testing.
* Done simulation of cause & effects logics by feeding actual raw values from field with operation CSU team & resolved the Punches.
* Performed Partial stroke tests for ESV & EDV valves.

* Done calibration of interface level measurement displacer type during start-up.

Performed Preventive, predictive & Corrective maintenance for the different pneumatic & electronic Field instruments Obtain work permit as per standard chevron norms for Maintenance related jobs.

•Managing shop calibration activities for different instruments of Rose-mount & Yokogawa make (level, pressure, flow, capillary type L/T, temp- transmitters, indicators, and radar-guided L/T and displacer level-transmitters for interface, stroke checking for control valves.)
•Handling standard instruments like Rosemount Emerson (375) & Yokogawa made hand-held communicators, Druck made calibrators & loop simulators & Altek made process simulators.
•Conducting pre-commissioning and commissioning jobs for the remote transmitting unit (RTU), SCADA for existing & new oil/injection wells with main client GASCO along-with vendor from Foxboro Invensys.
•Managing shop-calibration activities as per ISO 9000 procedures of different instruments.
Highlights:
•Notably commissioned RTU of 35-40 wells which replaced old serck make to Foxboro make.
Joined Heavy water plant in year 1986 as trainee & continued till OCT.06 at different positions. During this period I was engaged for Maintenance, construction, re-vamping, start-up and commissioning of new project & existing.
Operating various standard calibration equipments like Druck calibrator, Yokogawa & Fuji hand held configurators, Potentiometer M/V source/ sink Leeds & Northup make & RTD testing kits.
Replicating & testing plant interlock circuits where relay panel alterations are made.
Testing various electronic & pneumatic loops such as Cascade control, 3 element boiler controls & ratio loop for utilities.
Allying up with vendors for installation, wiring & commissioning of P/C based data logger in control room of M/s. Schneider, France made hardware consisting of SCADA software features, where control panel instruments are assembled with RS-485 Modbus protocol.
Commissioning activities of open architecture distributed control system having Schneider made I/O modules & PLC, MTL barriers & software of M/s Altersys, Canada which includes scrutinizing digital & analogue control loops including control logics.
Handling calibration and stroke length adjustment for Samson made control valves.
Attending to the emergencies during commissioning & start-up operation of plant activities.
Generation of reports for the same as per standards.
Troubleshooting the problems during plant operations & co-ordinating with process persons.
Maintaining & calibrating pneumatic transmitters (blind & indicating) types of different make like Hartman & Brown, Bristol, Taylor & Foxboro used for high pressure application as well as level transmitters, float type & differential pressure type.
Modelling convectional annunciation system with plant interlock circuits relay based.
Carrying out commissioning related to the new front end water ammonia exchange process unit which was coupled with existing plant & commissioning of all old pneumatic loops with electronic loops for the existing control room.
Handling commissioning of High pressure Gas Reciprocating Compressor.
Commissioning of pc based Event sequence recorder Siemens make hardware and Win c.c. software for monitoring plant analysis.
