Responsibilities
1. Review of Contract Variation Order (and other MPW procedure to vary contracts) for contract compliance, compliance with MPW policy, etc.
2. Review of Interim and Final Payment Certificate to Contractors.
3. Review of Consultants’ measurement formats and techniques for both Interim and Final Measures.
4. Interpretation of Contract Documents, specified methods of measurement, etc.
5. Monitoring of Consultant prepared monthly financial statements, progress reviews, etc.
6. Review and follow-up on Consultant prepared request to all related Government Authorities for additional funds for construction contracts.
7. Contractual correspondence and review/recommendation on contractual correspondence prepared by others.
8. Establishment of Policy guidelines for Consultants in connection with any of the above.
9. Recommendations for changes to contractor specifications based on experience on projects constructed.
10. Instrumental in establishing Construction Supervision Agreements and/or amendments in conjunction with relevant engineers.
11. Recommendation for approval by Assistant Under-secretary - Roads of Consultant’s proposed Quantity Surveying staff.
12. Review of Consultant’s fee invoices for Construction Supervision.
13. Interpretation of MPW / Consultant Agreements for Construction Supervision.
14. Review of Consultant’s request for uplifts and/or revisions to MPW / Consultant Agreements for Construction Supervision.
