o Responsibilities:
• Reviews and analyzes preliminary and final designs, plans, and specifications for technical efficiency and adequacy. Ensure that the Design meets all relevant Codes and Standards.
• Provides technical review of design calculations, cost estimates, analyses, drawings, and specifications to ensure compliance with project requirements. Liaise with other related disciplines and co-ordinate work with them.
• Review project schedule and fabrication schedule in relation to construction sequence, milestones, and engineering scope.
• Reviewing material submittals, material inspection requests and other relevant documents to ensure that all documents are approved prior to the contractor commencing the work.
• Review all shop/ composite drawings, material and samples submitted by the contractors to ensure compliance with technical specifications and KAU requirements.
• Review and approve Electrical System studies, calculations, one-line diagrams, schematics diagrams, electrical equipment building layout drawings, lighting calculations, electrical load lists or update load lists issued by Customer, and electrical cable schedules.
• Assist in resolving any issues raised by contractors (i.e., requirements for time extensions, change order requests, variations etc.). Reviews change orders prior to contract modification.
• Inspect the mock-up, permanent works, on-site and on-site materials to be used in the project and organize field and laboratory tests, conducted by others, on construction materials to ascertain their compliance with the specifications and determine the acceptability for use on the project.
• Developing design drawings, specs, technical reports, Calculations, and all other documents for all Electrical systems include low-voltage, low current, security applications including Ethernet and fiber-optic lines.
• Undertake and deliver high quality detailed engineering design for electrical building services and power distribution systems, including calculations, analysis, schematics, drawings, diagrams, models, specifications, and other documents required.
• Undertake the load flow analysis, short circuit, protection schemes, coordination, breaker sizing, cable sizing, voltage drop, arc flash, motor starting, harmonic analysis, grounding, AC, DC auxiliary system calculations using Power Systems Analysis Software.
• Design for illumination of different area and lux calculation using Dialux lighting analysis software.
• Preparation of Electrical layouts for power, earthing, lighting, fire alarm & detection, public address, audio video, access control, structure cabling, telecom, lightning protection and Single line diagrams.
• Using computer software to perform engineering tasks, retrieve technical documents and management of packing list, bill of material and drawings.

o Responsibilities:
• Organized the tender documents, specification, BOQ, and cost estimation sheets.
• Interpreted construction drawings and studied the contract documents and applicable standards or specifications prior to execution of any jobs.
• Estimated, prepared, and assigned the resources such as manpower, materials, consumables, equipment, tools, etc., required for all electrical and related works prior to execution.
• Prepared the submittals of electrical materials and shop drawings.
• Performed electrical calculations such as indoor lighting, external lighting, voltage drop, load flow, short-circuit, protective breakers coordination, panel calculations. Documented the results and made recommendations.
• Made material breakup required for the Project execution, prepared material requisitions as per approved Submittals and followed up for early planned delivery.
• Wrote of methods and program statements and ensured that carried out within company’s goals, values, and procedures.
• Maintained site records as required and ensured that material ordered in time so that progress on site not interrupted or delayed.
• Supervised and monitored the site labor force through General Foreman and or Supervisors, monitored the work of any subcontractors to complete the work as per customer’s satisfaction.
• Planed, controlled, implemented, and monitored the execution of electrical works to ensure that all the works done were in accordance with the approved construction drawings, contract documents, project specifications, standards and applicable health, safety, sanitary and environmental standards.
• Gave necessary support, guides, develops, motivates, and challenged people.
• Submitted site daily reports, inspection requests, estimates and all applicable monitoring reports on regular basis or as required.
• Allocated work to the Site Engineers, Supervisors and Foreman. Monitored progress at regular intervals and ensured the work distributed to the electrical teams.
• Worked closely with planner to manage construction schedules related to electrical elements of job sites in accordance to project timeline and deadlines to avoid delay and maintain profitability.
• Prepared final Test Reports, as built drawings, Operation & Maintenance manual and handing over the project to client.
