Key Result Areas:
Currently leading a team size of 12, supervises all the activities that are necessary for the safe and efficient sales gas export from the plant facilities into the national transmission grid as well as local fuel gas systems. In addition to sales gas, the facility recovers and exports Ethane, LPG, untreated Field Condensate, Plant Condensate and recover helium via helium recovery train.
Ensure production targets are met and that the plant runs smoothly, effectively, economically and safely.
Supervises the operation of the complete process plant in accordance with approved production plan, procedure & written or verbal instructions.
Diagnose the plant and equipment problems, put it up to concerned maintenance section, prepare for the safe maintenance, follow up of maintenance activities & safe re-commissioning of the equipment.
Co-Chairs the daily coordination meeting of production/maintenance supervisors for reviewing of the maintenance activities and identifying priority jobs.
Ensure personnel Qatari nationals are trained to a level sufficient for them to satisfactorily conduct their duties and impart training whenever required.
Establish work programs and objectives for my subordinates and supervise them in the achievement of these; appraise performance of subordinates against agreed targets.
Keep informed on a continuing basis of the result of the quality control tests carried out by laboratory team during the shift & take the remedial action immediately.
React to emergency situations when occur, assess the situation, declare emergency, take corrective actions, shutdown the plant partially or totally and coordinate with emergency response team and communicate with emergency management team to evaluate and identify the emergency tier. Restart the plant safely after the incident is under control & prepare a detailed report.
Ensure that all production procedures, safety and environment regulations are followed and recommend modifications and improvements necessary.
Approve general/critical/hot work permits and complimentary permits for works to be performed. Ensure that all necessary procedures and standing instructions are followed while the equipment is made ready for maintenance intervention.
Implement all operations procedures in check-list format and train the operations staff in the safe, reliable and efficient methods.
Implement the Operations policy through detailed procedures, including company QHSE procedures.
Manage all the activities that are necessary for the safe and efficient sales gas export from the plant facilities.
Maintain plant in good working condition including standby equipment. Initiate work notification request to various maintenance departments giving priority of jobs to be performed, coordinate with all departments in daily meeting and plan for the next day’s jobs.
Supervises all pre-mechanical completion (PMC) activities, function test for various cold section units, pre- commissioning, commissioning, and startup of the different cold section units. Review the P&ID, procedures give comments before the drawings are finalized.
Egyptian LNG experience:
▪ Since 2010 till 2013 worked as DCS lead operator.
▪ Since 2008 till 2010 worked as Panel operator (Emerson delta V).
▪ Since June 2004 till 2008 worked as field operator.
Process Description of
ELNG:
▪ ELNG is a leading Egyptian liquefied natural gas producer focused on supplying cleaner hydrocarbon energy to growing domestic and international markets.
▪ The Optimized ConocoPhillips Cascade liquefaction process is the license LNG technology.
Job Description in ELNG:
▪ Commissioning and startup of train one and two liquefied natural gas plant (Optimized Concophillips cascade technology and Bechtel main contractor).
▪ DCS Lead operator responsible for operating one of two LNG trains including power generation and utilities in one train or loading activities in the other train.
▪ Responsible for processing the plant units from DCS safely. Front end (Gas sweetening- Gas dehydration), Liquefaction, Refrigerant Nuovo Pignone Compressors, Storage area and jetty.
▪ Responsible for startup and shutdown the train units safely from the control room as per procedure including pressurizing and cool down the cold section units.
▪ Also responsible for start up the power generation gas turbine, electrical & diesel air compressor, nitrogen generation package, RO unit, Waste water treatment and fuel gas unit safely from the control room.
▪ Write the daily control room reports.
▪ The LNG ship loading activities: responsible for the ship loading (including gassing up and cool down if required) from the control room. Previously responsible for ship connection to the jetty head, loading arms nitrogen purge then connection, ship gassing up, ship cool down, ship loading, loading arms nitrogen purge then disconnection and ship clear berth.
▪ Preparing, updating procedures, preparing isolation certificates & reviewing permits.
▪ Previously act as field team leader in various total plant shutdowns.
Alexandria Carbon Black
Experience:
• Since January 2000 till May 2004 worked as panel operator in Alexandria Carbon Black Company S.A.E.
Process Description of
ACBC:
• Carbon Black Industry is Petrochemical industry including Thermal Cracking of Petroleum Oil in Furnace reactor to produce the Carbon.
Job Description in ACBC:
• Responsible for operating the plant from DCS.
• Experience on 2 types of DCS:
❖ Fisher Rousmount Delta V.
❖ Honey Well TDV -3000.
• Operating of all rotating equipment like Pumps& Vans.
• Operating of compressors, Blowers, Mixers, Bucket Elevators, Bag filters, Screw convyors & pneumatic system.
• Operating of furnace reactor two types (Tread & Carcass).
• Preparation of Oil batches & additive solution & catalysts).
• Adjusting of quality as per ASTM (American Society for Training & material).
