This is my present position
Overseeing and controlling facilities maintenance functions of the company in the Republic of South Sudan.
Initiating, planning, executing hotel/camp maintenance and repair programs for both civil works, electrical, mechanical, HVAC environment, plumbing, carpentry
Supervising and controlling the work of essential service providers and contractors
Inventories control, reporting and ensuring that all hotels/camps comply with the company requirements.
Sourcing of specialist spares and specifying requirements with hotel management office
Ensuring that guests are afforded their comfort by responding to their requests timeously
Maintenance of hotel health and safety procedures and training staff on safe work practices.
Ensuring that quality standards are maintained and safety procedures adhered to.
Ensuring adherence to required budget levels as per memorandum of agreement.
Assisting the Chief Executive Officer and country director on matters of technical concern and ensuring that subordinate managers/perform their tasks according to preset conditions.
Involvement in staff development to ensure a smooth transition in the event of a resignation or laws of host country not permitting expatriates
Designing fire, life, safety and environmental management procedures for use by various hotel set ups.
Planning and designing training programs for local staff.
Maintenance of good housekeeping, safe working methods and setting standard procedures for the both expatriate and local staff.
