• Assist in development of procedures and documents related with EHS management system.
• Assist in effective implementation of EHS management system
• Coordination and support for EHS related program and initiatives in all departments
• Coordination with concerned departments for incidents reporting, perform investigation of incidents, development & communication of corrective & preventive actions to departments and follow ups.
• Provide support to comply with applicable EHS regulatory requirements
• Participate in operational and other safety meetings
• Data compilation and analysis of EHS KPIs for leading and lagging safety indicators
• Conduct EHS induction training of all new workers and employees, if required
• Facilitation and participation in internal and external audit program related with EHS
• Facilitate external EHS related trainings and conduct other necessary refresher in-house trainings on EHS.
• Coaching and counselling to improve the safety ownership and safety culture
• Regular monitoring of all plant areas with EHS perspectives and developing related reports and follow-up for completion of identified gaps.
• Support line management with EHS expertise
• Facilitate project and other relevant departments for ensuring EHS compliance in contractors and maintenance work performed by outside vendors
• Coordinate with QA to Conduct environmental monitoring and ensure the timely submission of report to Environmental Protection Agency (EPA).
• Plan and conduct aspect impact study with coordination of concerned departments, develop mitigation plan & follow ups.
• Participate in risk assessments of routine and non-routine activities including job hazard analysis (JHA)
• Strive for continuous improvement through reviewing procedures, accident reports and KPIs data.
• Development and implementation of HSE plans/procedures
• Safety Trainings to staff and workers
• Conduct and manage safety communications (Tool Box Meetings, Learning from incidents, safety talks, etc.)
• Safety inspections and audits
• Incident reporting and investigation
• Leading Emergency Response teams at site
• Ensure proper compliance of PPE at site
- Provide professional suggestions on the management of health, safety & fire hazards in GTR Plant operations, project activities and head office activities in order to ensure that risks to staff, to contractor personnel, to visitors and to plant are minimized
-To carry out Risk Assessment of all relevant workplace activities.
- To identify and stay up-to-date with the knowledge of legal & regulatory HSE requirements applicable to Plant site and ensuring evaluation of compliance.
- To identify HSE Training needs and develop HSE training programmes.
- To carry out inspections, audits, incident investigations & reporting as required by the HSE MR.
- Establish & maintain all HSE related documentation and records.
- Study & review of piping layouts/PFD’s to maximize process energy recoveries and minimize external energy requirements,
- Control of waste & scrap at various unit operations by using reduce-reuse-recycle (3R approach),
- Optimization of the unit operation of Mixing by modifying & upgrading compounds mixing cycles in Mixers based on optimum mixing parameters.
- Optimization of the unit operation of Tyre Curing by establishing & modifying Tyre cure cycles based on optimum energy requirements.
- Attend the Troubleshooting and maintenance of the machinery/equipment in co-ordination with relevant departments to minimize scraps and defects percentages of products.
- Make improvements in departmental file management system to maintain the documentation effectively.
