1. Throughly study customer specifications, engineering standard, construction procedures, ITP, codes and standards.
2. Monitoring Welders qualifications activities to ensure compliance with approved procedures and governing codes.
3. Review welders certifications prior to start of welding.
4. Monitoring initial production work of welders to determine thier ability to make sound weld.
5. Closely monitoring welders repair rate and take correction action and awareness program amongst welders.
6. Conduct audits on consumables storage and issue control system.
7. Ensure all NDE and NDE coverage are done as per NDE procedure.
8. Ensure that piping systems are executed as per Approved isometrics PMS and in compliance with applicable codes and company standards.
9. Perform inspection on installation of thermo well, PZVs, valves, corrosion monitoring, flow elements, flange management and orifice plates in piping system as per P&ID and ITP.
10. Perform pre test line walk through of the piping system and prepare punch list.
11. Review of test package and ensure all completions of all checklist required prior to hydro test.
12. Verification of hydro static test preparations and test pressure witness and depressurizing.
13. Re in statement walkthrough and initiating final punch points.
14. Witness final lay up of the piping system as per P&ID.
15. Ensure that all project procedures, standards and specifications are being followed.
16. Final walk through and preparation of ICS after complication of mechanical works.
17. Prepare a weld sequence chart where dimensional variations are expected due to weld shrinkage.
18. Ensure that any post weld heat treatments specified in fabrication drawing or codes are carried out as per post weld hear treatment procedures.
19. Raise NCR if any non conformity observed.
20. Liaison with client representatives.
Review drawing, ITP, QAP, WPS. Fit up inspection, final weld visual inspection, WQT, check storage and handling of filler wire, electrode rode, DPT consumables, piping equipment and materials, documentations, prepare test package, witness hydrotest/pneumatictest, witness UT/DPT/MPT/PMI/PWHT, joint marking on relevant iso metric drawings, reporting daily progress report, check calibration of pressure guage, ovens, welding machine, check oven register, maintain Lot register RT status, RT film interpretation, Co ordinating with client, attend weekly meeting with manager, sub contractor bill verification, final loop file prepration and submission etc.
