I have dealt with Power plant engines in numerous situations, for example, Engine Operations, Support and Updating. Following are the engines I worked on and my detailed work experience.
• 7 MAN&BW Diesel/HFO. Engines type 8L-52 / 527MW each = Totals 56MW
• 3 MAN&BW HFO. Engines Type 18V 48/60B x 18MW each = Totals 54MW
• 1 MAN&BW Emergency diesel engine producing 1 MW, 9 cylinders.
• 3 Gas turbines Model GT-10 ABB STALL NG/DF. 18MW each = Totals 54MW
Detailed work experience
Operation of Auxiliaries :
• Start air compressors 30 bar, Elects and diesel
• Fuel Units/Fuel boosters
• Operated main steam boilers
• Steam boilers & chemical dosing system for boilers
• Engine cooling system dosage for engine and nozzles by NAL Cool 2000
• Oil Centrifuges, West Falia and Alfa Laval for Lobe Oil and HFO (Heavy fuel oil)
• Automatic Lube Oil Filter system and Fuel oil filter for diesel and HFO (Heavy fuel oil)
• Management and operational control of pumps and filling system of water, lube oil, fuel (booster and units)
Nature of jobs performed :
• Overhauling of low speed engines, injectors, fuel pumps, (centrifuges, rotary & gear types.), cylinder heads, lube oil separators, HFO (Heavy
• Fuel oil) separators.
• Maintenance work during the shutdown of reformer pumps station.
• Handling the specific power plant problems and ensuring smooth operation of power plant machinery.
• Changing the fuel modules HFO (Heavy fuel oil)
• Handling the lube of separators, HFO (Heavy fuel oil) separators, fuel oil booster unit, electric & diesel air compressors, water softener unit,
• pumps, cooling towers and all other auxiliaries
• Preparation of water dosage for engines cooling water and nozzles cooling water by NAL Cool and Sodium Nitrate
• Boiler's chemical dosage preparation by sodium hydro oxide and sodium phosphate and sodium sulfite
Roles and Responsibilities taken care of :
• Running up and shutting down the plant and its auxiliaries
• Performing equipment change, isolation and re-commissioning
• Monitoring the plant operating parameters to ensure their optimal operation.
• Regular checks/tests on pant equipment for efficiency and safety.
• Raise work orders to report on faulty equipment or abnormal occurrences
• Managing the events of incidents and change management.
To work in rotating of shifts in 24 hours, day, evening and night.Check all parameters, temperatures, pressures, fuel oil, lub oil, water.To make sure kept operation of all Engines, control load, trace out faults and remedy to make possible to do't disturbance of factory production.Change the lub oil and fuel oil filters during operation if necessary.Observe that all system is properly working and make sure safe operation of Engines without of any damage of parts.Make preventive maintenance and keep clean the machines.
Work for more then 18 years as power plant operation and field work for Arabian Cement Plant Rabigh Saudi Arabia.
I was responsible for the smooth operation of Power Plant and their engines.
My beginning s were very humble.But with sheer motivation, Proactive approach, Self-teaching and hard work I became most skilled man in my area of work in Arabian Cement Company.
I have been able to work calmly under emergency situations, to recognized the problems and finding solutions.
Being efficiently logical, open minded, well organized and able to work multicultural environment became my core strength.
Going through all these more then 18 years of lifetime experiences reaped excellent communication, presentation and strong interpersonal skills inside me.
