- Cable sizing, Incomer cable calculation, UPS calculation, Short circuit analysis, Harmonics analysis, Transformer sizing calculation, Earthing calculation, Lightning protection calculation, Power factor calculation, Generator sizing calculation etc.
- Design & prepare DB/SMDB schedules for Lighting and small power system as per local authorities requirements.
- Involve in preparation of P&ID, showing of interlocks and attend Hazop meetings etc.
- Preparation of control philosophy and its effective implementation.

- Prepare shop dwgs. for erection and commissioning of different type of Instruments like Hydrostatic level Transmitters, Flow meters, Flow Switches, Pressure Transmitters, Ultra-sonic level Transmitters, Level Switches, Analyzers, Pressure gauges, Pressure Switches etc.
- Prepare shop dwgs and involved in site supervision of all type of Electrical works such as HV Panel, LV Panel, MCC Panel, Transformers, Generators, RTU-DMS interface panel, UPS systems etc.
- Inspection and FAT of electrical/ instrumentation items.
- Estimation, Design, Procurement, Coordination, Inspection of various Electrical/Instrumentation systems as per project requirement and client specifications.
- Techno commercial Bid evaluation for the various Electrical Equipment’s in the EPC Project.

- Preparation of cable termination schedule for all type of cables, Loop diagram, Block diagrams stem, Instrument Installation & hook-up drawings, interconnection diagrams.

Worked in Planning & Development Division, Energy wing in the Project Appraisal Section.

Worked with Associated Consulting Engineers (ACE) as a Consultant Junior Engineer, start up (Control and instrumentation protection) section including SCADA & Telecom on Ghazi Barotha hydropower project (cost of the project= US $ 2.2 billion).Commissioning of the complete Distributed Control System for the Ghazi Barotha Hydropower Project.
- End to end testing of all digital inputs, digital out puts, analog inputs and analog out puts signals of hardwired and distributed control system of all five generating units, 500 KV switchyard equipments MV/LV switchgears, 18KV/ 500 KV generator step-up transformers 107.5 MVA for all 5 units, main and unit auxiliary transformers, emergency diesel generators for 11KV (2x1250 MVA) andCommissioning supervision of different types of PLC controllers for control and monitoring of power generating units, MV/LV switchgears, HV switchgears, Hydraulic gates etc.(Advance controller AC 55, AC 70, AC 80, AC 110, AC 160, AC410, AC450 ). 44 hydraulic gates, fire fighting system for the generators (Minimax), HVAC system, generator protection panels etc. Commissioning supervision of instrumentation equipment. Functional check of over 8, 000 (control and instrument) loops contains in the entire project.
Worked with Dongfang Electric Corporation, main contractor for the construction of powerhouse and ancillary works at Ghazi Barotha Hydropower Project (Contract C-03) as Electrical Engineer in Technical Section. Major assignments performed are summarized as below:
- Preparation of cable schedule for all types of cables for equipments at powerhouse and control buildings of switchyard, intake and tail regulator structures.
- Installation, cable laying, termination and insulation test of all types of Power, Control and Instruments cables of the Power Complex.
- Prepared shops drawings of 11KV Transmission and Distribution System for Powerhouse related area according to WAPDA Specifications.
- Designed and prepared shop drawings for Lightning Protection System for powerhouse and other control buildings as per British Standard BS 6771.
- Designed and prepared shop drawings of Earthing System to the various control buildings as per IEE Standard 1980.
- Prepared shop drawings for lighting and small power system for powerhouse, switchyard, intake, tail regulator, spillway, north sill, south sill, drainage galleries and other control buildings.
Worked as Electrical Engineer in Technical Section at Ghazi Barotha Hydropower Project with Ghazi Barotha Contractor - GBC (a Joint Venture of IMPREGILO S.P.A ITALY and ED-ZUBLIN GERMANY). Major assignments were:
- Executed the permanent electrical works in accordance with specified requirements and schedule time.
- Designing and prepare shop drawings of 11 kV Transmission lines for Project.
- Design and supervised the installation of road and bridges lighting system.
- Performed and supervised earth resistivity test by using Earth tester, insulation test of the cables by Megger tester etc.
- Designed and prepared shop drawings for earthing and lightning protection system for barrage and control and substation buildings.
- Calculation of building electrification such as lighting and small power system and its implementation.
- Prepared shop drawings for the routing of the cables for lighting and small power system.
I graduated from Eastern Mediterranean University with CGPA of 2.4 achieving a honour certificate in fall semester 1995-96.
