This was so far the most challenging but most fulfilling assignment of my career. After my spell with ASSOCHAM, I was approached by a VC to join a business of organizing exhibitions and conferences. I readily joined the company as a Project Manager with certain equity stakes in the company and build the company from the scratch. The comprehensive but non-exhaustive responsibilities were as follows:
• Planning & organizing an exhibition or conference right from the conception till execution
• Developing content for Brochures, leaflets, flyers, letters, emails, website and other marketing collaterals etc.
• Creative design inputs for designing of all marketing & promotional collaterals
• Data mining from various sources to create a relevant database of potential customers
• Developing promotional campaigns for exhibitions by tying up with relevant B2B portals, publications, digital marketing agencies, advertising agencies and other marketing platforms for increasing space sales revenue
• Design the floor plan with strategic positioning of show sections and pavilions in coordination with the Operations Manager and Managing Director
• Supervise, evaluate and optimize annual, quarterly and monthly planning and operational process as well as monitor sales progress
• Establish and maintain business cooperation & relationship with trade associations, publications, key accounts, government agencies and other relevant industry groups as well as ongoing support.
• Manage the worldwide agent network and continuous communication with Sales Partners on productive sales and motivate to achieve common goal
• Coordinate with the Managing Director on event programmes and for all events related costs
• Prepare performance report and update to the Managing Director including timeline, milestone and gap analysis.
• Monitoring & measuring performance of digital agency in terms of KPIs, Google Analytics reports, search console, SEO & SM marketing
• Handling & training a team of direct marketing to reach our targeted customers
• Liaisoning & Collaborating with different embassies, industry associations and government departments for successful presence of international buyers & significant visitors for the exhibition
• Reaching out to Key Accounts for sponsorships or participation
• Advising in preparation of Press Releases with information rich summary & photographs after any press briefing before (Curtain Raiser) and during the event (Inauguration, Middle or Valedictory day)
• Generating Post Show Reports indicating the success of past events to appeal new exhibitors and keeping the past exhibitors
• Successfully build-up the flagship event Agri, Dairy, Poultry & Food Fest from 50 exhibitors in the first edition to around 200 exhibitors in the last edition
• Successfully launched and executed other events like RiceMilltech Expo, Conferences and Corporate Events for Key Clients

India, articulating its growth ambitions, eco system needs and issues concerning Central and State policies in

ASSOCHAM has more than 100 Councils for virtually every sector. The responsibilities assigned were as
follows:
* Was part of Agriculture, Food, and Healthcare & Pharmaceuticals Division which advocates for these
sectors by way of creating Forums & Platforms through organizing Global or National Summits /
Seminars / Conclave / Conferences / Workshops.
* Liaison with government at various levels to voice the concerns of the industry for inculcating in the
policy matters related to the assigned sectors.
* Preparing RFPs and submitting it to the Ministry of Commerce, Government of India for taking
delegations of key stakeholders of large organizations and MSMEs to the well-established
international exhibitions around the globe to make our industry players adapt to the best global

* Tying-up with various relevant & prestigious publications and B2B portals for Media Partnership
* Onboarding prominent research & advisory organizations like E&Y, KPMG, PwC, Deloitte, Yes Bank to
become Knowledge Partner and produce a Knowledge report for industry insights
* Preparing white papers, reports on industries like food processing & organic farming
