Presently, working as I& (SME) at M&E (TSD, Specialty). Job responsibility involves;
Handling instrument related RFC/RFV.
Responsible to prepare instrument related deliverables for in house projects as per DOW GPM guidelines. Presently, handling EO/PO pipeline from SADARA to Value Park and Fluxoil pipeline from SATORP to SADARA.
Review/Prepare CDP & FEEP documents at different stages of Project as per GPM. (FEL1/FEL2/FEL3 deliverables)
Management of Change (MOC) studies at instrument end.
Walk downs for quality check as per SADARA program.
Ensure the compliance of DOW/ARAMCO standards during the project phase.
Got training as SIS Coach.
Participate in RCA & HAZOP studies.
Review of engineering documents during detail engineering of project phase.
• Responsible for various aspects of Minor/ major projects right from Technical study, Conceptual design to detailing & completion through EPC or In-House Maintenance WO.
• To review & provide the solution for Revamping /up gradation of obsolete control system & modification in Plant thro’ Management of Change (MOC) studies.
• Provide technical support to maintenance department to investigate the problem & suggest counter-measures to avoid recurrence.
• Review the complete Technical package for MOC. Includes conceptual schematic diagram for control change Philosophies, modification in P&ID & Interlocks, Instrument Datasheets for procurement, Instrument Loop Diagrams, ESD and Control Systems Logic Modifications.
• Basic Engineering: P&ID review, Control System Specifications, Safety Instrumentation System Specification, Cause & Effect Drawings.
• Detail Engineering: Instrument specifications and datasheets, control valve and flow element sizing, Instrument Layout and Cable Routing, Hookup and Installation Drawings, Logic Drawings, Loop Drawings, Termination Drawings, Control room Layout and Arrangement Drawings, Panel Specifications and Arrangement Drawings, Instrument Power Distribution Network and UPS Drawings.
• Provide services and support for pre-Commissioning/Commissioning and startup.
• Member of SABIC total reliability program (STRP) team, to assess & validate the required SIL level of various instrumented control system using Meridium software
• Review of CDP & FEEP documents at different stages.
• Review of design package for execution of Instrument related projects.
• Raised/Review punch list during project execution, T/A and short shutdown.
• Participate in PHA & PSSR for modification as per MOC.
• Participate in RCA & HAZOP studies.
• Follow up all critical issues that need to be taken during Studies/projects executions.
• During T/A, Coordinate with planning on the control system T/A related studies
• Kick-off meetings with client and Management to ensure the client requirements, Status
updates & schedule for smooth execution of project.
To ensure the setup of Engineering software “INTOOLS” for instruments profiles, Instrument index, Specifications / Datasheets, Instrument loop & Wiring diagrams, I/O list for DCS and PLC and Instrument sizing calculations.
Review of Specifications & Sizing Calculation for valves and Datasheets for various instruments.
Review Technical and the Commercial Quotations
Review & Prepare control Logic scheme for client approval
P&ID review for Control loops philosophy and Instrumentation Control system.
To insure the implementation of NPIC (Notifications for P&ID change) in design documents.

• Provides support for instrument engineering activities throughout the plant.
• Develops and manages plant instrumentation projects including scope definition, economic analysis, engineering design, field execution, project startup (per-commissioning & commissioning), and documentations (Data Sheets, ILD, Interlock Scheme, P&ID etc).
• Planning and execution of Turnaround instrument activities.
• Leads root cause failure investigations for instrument equipment related incidents.
• Reviews engineering projects and improvements to ensure compliance with plant standards and good engineering practice.
• Support of plant Operations and Optimization engineers in identifying strategic instrumentation and control opportunities that have high potential to improve operating efficiency and availability or to reduce maintenance costs.
• Development of safety protective process logic system requirements and logic implementation.
• Responsible to Supervise & execute the Management of Change on any plant safety & safety related systems
• Keep the entire instrument and Control Loops of the plant in satisfactory and smooth running state by preventive and corrective maintenance.
• Evaluate requirement of spare parts for smooth running of instruments and initiate indent as per instrument specification.
• Supervised calibration of process Instrumentation of Electronic and Pneumatic transmitters, gauges, indicator, recorders of various vendors like
