Health and social care is a diverse field. Through studying Health and Social care it allows you to develop the knowledge to make a significant difference in an individual’s life.The theory of this qualification offers a wide range of modules that enables my understanding to follow the correct line of framework. For example, some topics that are covered are: growth & development from birth until adolescence, safeguarding of children, whistleblowing, support plans, influences on development, communication, equality, diversity and rights of the child. Not only that, this qualification provides a practical approach to learning that I have had to work alongside teaching professionals to gain more knowledge, understanding and experience of working in this profession. As learning the intellectual side of this life stage is not enough without being able to learn physically and visually on the job. Knowing the fundamentals of the curriculum from my knowledge and experience allows me to provide the best environment for the children to learn and grow in. Furthermore, whilst always following the principles of how a child’s well being can be impacted positively by providing a child’s physical, emotional, social and intellectual needs are being met.
