Working as IT technical support specialist mainly monitoring and maintaining the computer systems and networks. Providing technical support for enterprise end-users ensuring services are delivered as promised and based on agreed SLA.
Responsibilities:
- Installing and configuring computer hardware operating systems (windows, Mac OS, Linux)
- Troubleshooting system and network problems and diagnosing and solving hardware or software faults or escalating incidents to next level where necessary.
- Evaluating vendor-supplied software by by testing software compatibility.
- Supporting the roll-out of new applications.
- Setting up new users' accounts and profiles and dealing with password issues ( domain active directory users).
- Performing system image backup and restore.
- Enabling the end users to use network resources (Network file server and printers).
Recent projects:
- AGFA IMPAX 6 Upgrade for King Faisal Specialist Hospital:
I developed image deployment plan to upgrade the workstations and prepared a roll-back restoration package. I also worked as coordinator with the vendor system engineers to ensure successful upgrade with minimal downtime.
- Data migration of file server:
My role was ensure that the end-users get their network drive mapped in case the logon script does not execute.
- Hematos hardware and software upgrade for King Faisal Specialist Hospital:
I prepared client workstations and set the network configurations according to Hematos system requirements and I developed implementation plan for the hardware equipments replacement process to ensure that the workstations are up and running before the actual Go-live time
- HITA Express Service Booth:
I worked with the Health Information Technology Affairs team at KFSH in launching Express service booth that offering initial set of IT related services that includes setup mobile devices access to hospital email and ERP systems and CITRIX applications, ICIS and Active Directory (Domain) passwords.
