• Conceptualizing and developing Occupational Health And Safety Management System and ensuring it is implemented consistently across the organization.
To advise the senior management team on the implications of current and emerging, health & safety and fire safety legislation, including evaluation of options, making recommendations and generating action plans to ensure compliance across the organisation.
To ensure that routine health and safety activities and checks are carried out (e.g. maintenance/testing of equipment, reviewing risk assessments and work place inspections), properly documented and actions followed up.
To take action to mitigate the impact and likelihood of health & safety and fire safety risks.
To assist in the identification of training needs for employees and develop and deliver training as required to meet these needs.
To carry out audits to confirm the implementation and compliance with health & safety and fire safety systems and procedures, including conducting fire drills and test procedures as appropriate, and identifying and implementing improvements.
To develop, monitor, evaluate and review health & safety and fire safety policy and practice, make recommendations to improve and implement new policies and procedures as required.
