Design Engineer at Albayan Est
  • Syria - Damascus
  • January 2000 to January 2007

• I have developed a program to solve Navier-Stokes equations to solve external and internal flow field and capture the flow velocities and pressure distribution.
• I have developed a 2D mesh generator program to produce Delaunay quality meshes which is essential to the solution of field problems such as finite element and CFD computational fluid mechanics
• Mechanical Engineering degree with good Experience using SolidWorks, cosmos flow works Ansys, CFX, mold flow, MasterCAM, Mechanical Desktop, and AutoCAD
• Programmed C++ software for machining a 3D helical boring, thread milling and spiral cutting as a thesis for post graduate diploma
• Over 2 years experience as a CNC programmer and operator
• Two years experience in technical teaching and training
• Designed and problem solved molding fluid flow and machine parts within customer requirements and provide onsite support
• Provided technical training to customers on CNC machine operation and the required software and injection mold design and manufacturing
• Collected and analyzed data using client specifications and prepared manufacturing plans for complex parts
• Designed machine parts and injection molds using 3D parametric modeling Solid Works, Inventor, and Mechanical Desktop
• Prepared machine G-code files for complex parts using manual programming and CAM software (Surf CAM, MasterCAM, and Hyper Mill)
• Used 3D digitizers and reverse engineering methods for modeling complex parts
• Inspected finished parts and prepared quality assurance reports in dimensions materials

Education

Master's degree, Thermo Fluids
  • at Ryerson University
  • August 2010

Studying master of engineering at Ryerson University was a great opportunity for me to learn a lot of things related to thermofluids, and it gave me answers to the many questions that arose in my job before. I have finished ten graduated courses with a cumulative grade point average GPA of 3.766. Seven courses of the total ten courses that I have taken at Ryerson University are directly related to thermofluids. I also did five projects in thermofluids those projects range from semi-programming using MathCAD to a serious coding of unstructured triangular mesh generation and solving of Navier-Stocks equations through Finite Volume method FVM. In ME8102-F08 I have written a program to calculate the potential flow field over a Joukowsky airfoil the program uses conformal mapping to predict the lift of Joukowsky airfoil. In ME8104-F08 I used COSMOSFloWorks to compare the performance of spiral verses spherical packed regenerator of stirling engine. In ME8112-W09 I used the finite volume method to calculate the heat diffusion through an extended surface made of two different materials taking into account the thermal contact resistance between the two different materials. In AE8144-W10 I have written my own code to solve Euler equations which govern the flow field around NACA 0012 airfoil. I have used Finite Volume Method FVM and a triangular unstructured mesh to represent the domain of solution. This method is used in commercial CFD software to solve the flow problems. In ME8135-S10 Directed Studies in Mechanical Eng Mesh generation I have written my own mish generator code the code can generate a high quality Delaunay 2D meshes for any 2D shape.
