1.Develop media releases on the activities/ initiatives /programs run by OGC
2.Introduce the technical view in how and when the opportunity is suitable for OGC to participate with a media article.
3.Create yearly media calendar for OGC capturing opportunities that can leverage the company's performance in media and position itself in the market
4.Come up with the mechanism on how to produce a gas review nicknamed ''Oman Gas Review'' with the focus on the regional market the review may cover gas prices, statistics, gas reservoirs in GCC, Oman with a depth information insight in each reservoir (formation &.viability, production .etc ), perspectives and trends (shale gas, sour gas&)
5.Help in obtaining articles for the monthly employee newsletter and pitch interviews with employees to feature a story in each edition of the newsletter.
6.Lead the planning and implementation of the media visit to be organized for local journalists.
7.The visit is aimed to provide a close shot for the journalists on OGC business and engage them in our activities. This approach will help gaining Media trust, playing as a clear-cut in the business overlap associated with OLNG, NGC, and positioning OGC in media.
8.Maintain media database in the region for OGC ease of reference.
9.Suggest the best way to enhance OGC presence in the social media
My duties at “albaladoman.com” are:
• Conducting interviews with readers, sources and anyone directly involved in a story.
• Quickly collecting and analyzing information on any breaking news stories.
• Writing features and news stories and then submitting them to the editor before publication.
• Involved in picture selection and the layout design of a page.
• Attending press launches, meetings and conferences etc.
• Answering the telephone on the news desk and dealing with any enquiries.
• Contacting victims of crime and persons who may have a news story.
• Following up leads for potential new stories.
• Sourcing and interviewing professionals, victims and academics for case studies and comments.
• Conducting interviews in person and over the phone.
• Deciding on the content for stories.
• Coming up with catchy headings for features.
