(Nuclear Industry)
Process Engineer at Sellafield, providing support for waste retrieval from MSSS plant. Responsible for the production & management of process deliverables on the configuration management work stream and senior level reporting (AECOM director). Review of P&IDs is conducted to identify discrepancies between the master drawing & those installed on the ageing radioactive waste disposal plant. Drawing inconsistencies are investigated and rectified. Examples of project work & responsibilities to date include:
•Production, review and update of as-built drawings (P&IDs, EFDs & plant layout) for the plant utility system including process water & steam. This supports the ongoing operations, maintenance & regulatory inspection of the plant. All documentations are produced to the appropriate British Standards.
•Engineering substantiation report for the existing plant during normal operation; this included the review of existing plant design, operating procedures & implementation of site surveys. This provides confidence that the waste storage compartment can operate at the specified conditions during future retrieval operations.

This will be of immense use to the client that is looking forward to utilising the end products of this project for plant decommissioning. The quality of the drawings & quality procedure of the company team on the project has been enhanced which will bring decommissioning of the plant forward.
Key Achievements
•Two promotion within the first 18 months of employment,
•PMI accredited project management certification. The certification provided learning in aspect such as project execution, development & management of project teams. Being in the client office - client relation, communication and management as well as a good grasp of contractual requirement (NEC3 type) was essential.
•During the role, I led a team during Enginuity competition where we finished in the top 5.
•Delivery of work on time and within budget. This was further supplemented by the financial management training in-house. The training included cost estimation, budget management & the application of earned valve management technique.
•Exceptional level of performance at annual appraisal review.
