Production and maintenance shift supervisor

Key Responsibilities:
• To take full responsibility of the shift in terms of management of staff, management of production and quality targets and to ensure the smooth running of the production processes
• To take full responsibility of the quality and product that is produced within the shift in line with the companies quality systems, processes and procedures
• Manage, develop and motivate direct reporting staff
• Monitor, measure and report on production related process performance, general issues
• To ensure good communication is given either verbally or written to all members of staff
• To ensure that Health and Safety rules and regulations are adhered to during the shift and all matters relating to this are dealt with using the resources within the company in line with the companies Health and Safety policy
• Problem solving and troubling shooting skills are used to ensure that all team members can identify
root causes and take fast effective action to resolve the problems in hand
• To work closely with other Shift Supervisors to ensure production handovers are effective
communications tools
• To ensure that the training skills are met for current and future demands of the shift
• To have an active role in the companies continuous improvement plan to achieve plans for future growth within the company
• Maintain housekeeping standards to ensure a clean and safe workplace
• All employees are responsible for ensuring company resources are used in an effective manner
to ensure best operating costs
• Be able to make appropriate decisions while following the companies organisational structure
• Maintaining high level of timekeeping is of the essence
• Planning and following up the implementation of preventive maintenance program PMP and update the program as needed for (Corazza, Stephan cookers, Sapal, Band roll, UHT lines).
• Participate in daily meeting in order to discuss the last day activities, analyzing the daily breakdowns and decide the needed action plan.
• Participate in new equipment installation and take the necessary action to ensure having high engineering standard during the installation process.
• Leading the repair activities of breakdowns and getting maximum utilization of the available resources \[tools, manpower and spare parts\] in order to reduce the breakdown time
• Control and ordering the spare parts through using the minimum and maximum levels of stock, ensure receiving the high quality parts which can provide longer life time. Make communization of the spare parts in order to reduce the inventory items and values
• Planning and implementing the needed technical training for M&R technicians either through internal training (one point session) or external training at the local institutes and technical training centers.
• Continuing to ensure that technical documentation is kept up to date
• Designs and implements the project PLC programs (S7-200, S7-300) and OP7, OP17, TP277.
• Siemens S5 and S7- 300 PLC troubleshooting and update using Simatic field PG
1- Designing electric control circuits for new modifications.
2- Handling electric and electronic maintenance for filling, packing machines and utilities.
1-Maintenance and operation of diesel power generating plant (Cat, EMD).
2-AC / DC motors maintenance and troubleshooting.
3-Cranes and fork lift preventive maintenance and troubleshooting.
4-Air conditioning maintenance and troubleshooting.
