Ensure the financial performance of department is in line with the company’s mission
and vision
* Spearhead team efforts in managing day to day finance & accounting functions for the
group in compliance to organizational policies as well as accounting standards through
a team of 10+ accountants.
* Define financial management mechanisms to set up proper chart of accounts, cost and
profit centres that reflect the business activity.
* Assessed/approved processing of revenue/ expenditure; prepared control documents,
salary updates, ledger.
* Monitoring monthly billing and collection of invoice
* Managed monthly reconciliations & clearance of issues including clients, suppliers,
banks and intercompany accounts
* Review monthly G.L and guide team members in preparing financial reports, special
analyses, and information reports
* Maintaining and updating fixed assets register and depreciation and verifying them on
regular basis.
* Ensuring all the assets are insured on real-time basis.
2) Treasury Management
* Participate in negotiation with banks and related institutions for securing best available
financial terms.
* Arranging new sources of finance for a company's debt facilities ( LC’s - TR’s - BG’s -
Over Draft - Payment Certificates and Checks Discounting - Long, medium and Short
term loans - Ijara…etic)
* Identify financing and capital-raising opportunities and support execution.
3) Tax Management
* Ensuring effective tax management and compliance with direct and indirect taxes,
including corporate tax, personnel tax, VAT, sales tax, excise and other applicable taxes.
4) Financial reporting
• Preparation of the monthly/ quarterly consolidated financial information reporting.
• Preparation and review of the monthly schedules for prepayments, accruals, other
receivables and other payables.
