Using a unique optimization service platform - DatCI (Design at the Customer Interface) to define application-specific drill bit solutions via well planning software that analyzes formation properties and precisely defines the application and then matches the bit design to that application. This bit optimization process includes the industry’s most powerful proprietary software tools, including SPARTA™ analytical tools, Direction by Design™ software, and iBitS™ design software.
- Direction by Design™ software: A program that allows to predict how a drill bit will respond in directional drilling applications.
- MaxDrill™ Drilling Efficiency Software: Innovative software calculates the efficiency of the drill bit in real time in relation to formation type and rock strength and provides the driller with recommendations on the drilling parameters, expected rate of penetration and projected bit wear.

Bit performance analysis done using WellCAD, hydraulic HCC calculations, rockstrength
analysis, mechanical specific energy analysis, depth-of-cut calculations,
vibration and formation study.
• Implement Oasis engineering analysis procedures for optimizing the performance using
risk analysis, root cause analysis, knowledge capturing.
• Formulating risk reduction strategies for upcoming wells from lessons learnt in previous
drilling, with contributions to future engineering design.
• Responsible for presenting performance conclusions and bit recommendations to peers
and clients.
• Training field engineers and clients on bit technology and drilling dynamics.
