Provide general representation and leadership for the airside and terminal operations, departmental heads and managers, government and operational investment agencies and to develop and efficiently manage Operational and Capital budgets at King Fahd International Airport, Dammam, Kingdom of Saudi Arabia whilst by overseeing the planning, review, development, improvement and implementation of plans and directions effectively, technical operational protocol and control of the tasks and functions to achieve the best levels of efficiency to ensure passenger, guest, VIP's and aircraft services to high levels of security, safety and fire services in line with the general administration of international airport requirements and standard procedures in the International Civil Aviation Organization Codes in accordance with the Governmental Ministry legislated requirements.

● The second senior position at KFIA reporting directly to Director General of the Airport.
□ Responsible for assisting the Director General in developing, planning and administering maintenance and engineering philosophy, policies, plans and procedures for the efficient maintenance of plants and equipment at King Fahd International Airport.
□ Reviewing scope of services for the Operations and Maintenance contract, guiding the bid evaluation and recommending contract awards.
□ Monitoring at executive level the MOM Contracts performance to ensure that the airport buildings, facilities, systems, subsystems, equipment and tools to be maintained for a long life; and with minimum cost.
□ Coordination and control of all maintenance, utilities and engineering activities to ensure quality of maintenance standards at International Airports.
□ Develops and assist the Director General in administering maintenance budget and monitors airport expenditures.
DURING PRE-OPERATIONAL PHASE AT
KING FAHD INTERNATIONAL AIRPORT (KFIA)
From June 1998 to November 1999,
Member of the following groups and committees during the Airport Operational Readiness (AOR) Phase:
□ Operational Readiness Committee, chaired by H.E. Dr. Abdulrahman Ali Al-Khalaf, President, Presidency of Civil Aviation.
□ Executive Committee chaired by Engr. Mazen A. Al-Khashoggi, Director General, King Fahd International Airport.
□ Project Control Group
□ Start-up Management Group
□ Transition Management Group and
□ Pre-Operational Testing Groups
Have been involved with, but not limited to, the following tasks:
□ Planning and scheduling all tasks concerning with Airport Operational Testing.
□ Rehabilitation and restoration of all facilities and systems.
□ Advisor to all departments on the problems that are directly related to various stages of pre-operational testing of the airport.
□ Participating in progress review meetings with all outside Agencies, Airlines and all other Government Agencies.
□ Participating in advising on other activities related to final operational testing, dedication ceremony, transition of operation from Dhahran Airport to King Fahd International Airport, leading to a successful commercial opening of the Airport in 28th November 1999.
Worked with Saudi Arabian Bechtel Company, the construction Manager for King Fahd International Airport construction.
Responsible for project engineering and construction aspects including monitoring all progress of construction works at different facilities at King Fahd International Airport to ensure that all the construction works are implemented according to approved schedule.
□ All the typical tasks performed by me are as follows:
● Track actual accomplishment as against the schedules.
● Revise the project plan to reflect the actual accomplishments.
● Prepares, written status reports on daily basis.
● List risks, problems and issues and develop recovery plans.
● Cost control by comparing the actual costs of all teams.
● Attending formal progress review meetings with Senior Management.
● Review the revisions of all project plans, estimated schedules and budgets; and recommends further action.
● Responsible before the resident engineers' of Royal Terminal Construction contract under PF-046 for daily inspection of contractor works in the following Fields:
□ Concreting all construction elements at Royal Terminal building and installation of precast slabs.
□ Structural steel installation.
□ Underground utilities.
□ Construction of roads, parking.
□ Conduct of required soil tests and analysis of findings.
● Field experience under Saudi Engineers Development program held by International Airports Project (IAP) through working with Bechtel Saudi Arabia at KFIA Project office in the following fields:
□ Management of Technical Services and Quality Control.
□ Field Engineering management.
□ Cost control management and scheduling.
