Position: Planning Manager
Duties:
• Responsible for Preparation of Program Management master and detailed schedules from pre-concept through construction for company’s project within Eastern Province.
• Review/Approve Consultants and Contractors’ Schedules.
• Advise and assist the consultants and contractors in the development of their schedules.
• Monitor and report the actual progress of the work versus the planned work. Monitor actual production rates and compare with plan.
Position: Project Controls Manager
Project: Ma’aden Housing Projects. Construction of 800 Villas of 4 types, in addition to 16 residential buildings (256 apartments), to accommodate Ma’aden employees in Jubail.
Duties:
• Reviewing and approving Contractor’s schedules, and provide recommendations.
• Preparing weekly and monthly reports to Client’s top management.
• Manage and direct project planners.
• Review Contractor interim payment applications.
• Attend weekly progress meetings with contractors and with Client.
- Responsible for Projects Planning, Monitoring and updating.
- Preparation of Projects Strategic Master Programmes, updating and reporting to top management on projects status.
- Responsible of initiating, implementing and maintaining Projects Control Systems for the company.
- Responsible for Projects coordination for company's ongoing projects in KSA, including addressing Projects issues to top management, and participation in decision making.
- Direct involvement in the Projects' procurement processes for Project's Architects/Designers and Cost Consultants, including consultant pre-qualifications, tendering, review and analysis of submitted bids and recommendation for award.
PROJECT: BURJ AL OULA - AL KHOBAR, KSA
POSITION: PCS ENGINEER
General Duties & Responsibilities:
• Prepare the Master Schedule of the Project, update and monitor progress
• Prepare and maintain of the Indicated Outcome and Budget Report.
• Documentation for the design review and construction monitoring plan.
• Directly responsible for Preparation of the monthly progress reports, submission and distribution of same.
• Record, monitor and control results of pre-qualifications, proposal submissions, and tenders, log and track documents, drawings, and technical submittals.
• Control distribution of tender documents including issuance of tender addenda, to bidders and to project management staff and design checker during the design stage of the project.
• Control Issuance of documents to Client, Consultant and Sub consultants.
• Manage the document control process and ensure full implementation of procedures.
• Manage the update of the document control database and supervise the activities of the document control staff.
Working in a Project Management Company as PCS Engineer for a commercial buiding project in Abu Dhabi. Responsible for the following:
- Preparation of the Project's Master Plan (for both Pre-Construction & Construction phase).
- Update the Project Plan.
- Prepare Monthly Reports.
- Document Control.
- Prepare Procurement plan for long lead items.
- Participate in the evaluation process for contractors' prequalifications.
Responsible for Monitoring, and controlling all company projects in eastern province. The projects types are sewage treatment plants, sewage networks, pumping stations, and water networks.
- Had made a master schedule for storm water networks and pumping stations. The schedule consists of about 450 activities including engineering, procurement, and construction.
- Report on projects performance to top management in terms of budget, cost, revenues achieved, cost and schedule variances.
- Responsible for preparing schedules for electro-mechanical equipment showing submittals, approvals, purchasing, and installations.
- Conduct site visits to verify work progress, ensure allocation of manpower and equipment, compare between actual progress and monthly plan given by the project manager, and write sites' problems and allocate it to concerned divisions. A comprehensive report is submitted to top management.
- Attend management meetings, and monthly meetings with project managers.
Planning Engineer
- Responsible for project planning by using Primavera software and makes monthly updates, and schedule analysis.
- Had made the master program for MSDR office Building in Amman, and was responsible for making monthly and weekly updates.
- Responsible for making schedule analysis for a number of projects in Jordan and outside Jordan.
- Responsible for contract administration and analysis.
The program consists of 9 core cources in addition to 4 elective courses and a comprehensive MBA seminar. Elective courses taken: 1. Information Resource Management. 2. Future Markets & Contracts. 3. Systems Analysis and Design. 4. Corporate Finance.
- Graduation Project: Analysis and Design of a residential villa and on-ground water tank. - Engineering Training: Trained at Ja'afar Toukan & Partners Co. as a site engineer responsible for supervising the construction of Crowne Plaza Hotel. Duration: June 2000 - August 2000
