Summary/Objective:
Responsible for aligning business objectives with employees and management in Middle East Africa Asia Pacific (MEAAP) Business Unit, with last role focusing on the Rig Operational in Nigeria. Serves as a consultant to Rig Management on Human Resource-related issues.

Essential function:

• Ensures the Company’s compliance with all local, state and Federal employment laws.
• Provides professional support in monitoring and maintaining the business unit’s offshore key position succession plans.
• Supports the production of accurate payroll reports to ensure the issuance of accurate, timely employee paychecks. This includes to process any additional additional payment (days due, training pay, bonuses, etc) for Expatriate personnel.
• Responsible to record any employee’s status change (i.e. New Hire/Rehire, Termination, Promotion/Demotion, Transfer, etc) for Expatriate personnel through PeopleSoft in a timely manner.
• Conducts regular crew visits for employee relations purposes.
• Populates and analyses monthly HR headcount reports.
• Monitors activities of personnel off duty (Leave of Absence) due to occupational / non-occupational issues.
• Monitors the progress of district operations regarding compliance with the business unit’s approved Training Matrix.
• Engages and liaises for visa formalities and offshore requirements for expatriate personnel.
• Liaises with the local HR team regarding the National employees.
• Works closely with the local HR team to achieve the Nationalization target.
• Supervises as required for the crew changes for assigned drilling units.
• Performs other duties as may be assigned
