# Perform database and software life-cycle activities to ensure highest level of system performance and availability and compliance with business requirements.
# Possess the ability to write complex ad hoc queries for data analysis and troubleshooting purposes.
# Troubleshoot and resolve advanced application issues utilizing logs, database queries, monitoring tools, server configurations and other techniques.
# Manage and troubleshoot application integration issues, understand the supporting integration tools and data flow.
# Responsible for the analysis, troubleshooting and resolution of application issues for both purchased and custom applications.
# Develop reports from a database and conducting database backup and recovery.
# Proactively learn new technologies to support applications as they become part of the application portfolio.
# Create and maintain documentation related to troubleshooting procedures for applications in a central repository.
# Mentor and provide ongoing guidance to other members of the Team.

# Coordinate with Application Development to transition responsibilities to Application Support as appropriate.
# Partner with the Infrastructure, Product and Engineering teams to ensure that problems are resolved in an efficient and timely manner.
# Conduct or facilitate root cause analysis for application issues and recommend a corrective action plan.

# Efficiently manage and multi-task multiple assignments with a sense of urgency, structure, and attention to detail in a high paced environment.
• Business Process Mapping- Detailed review and mapping of "as-is" business processes to be improved as part of the HITS HR/Payroll applications implementation.
• Gap Analysis- Thorough analysis of the ability of "out-of-the-box" HITS HR/Payroll applications to meet core business process needs.
• Data Conversion and Migration- Analysis and mapping of current and historical legacy data for conversion and migration to HITS HR/Payroll applications.
• Report Specification and Design- Review of all aspects of information access needs, including standard reports, ad-hoc reporting.
• Application Setup and Configuration- Thorough, module-by-module analysis and documentation of the HITS HR/Payroll applications setup and configuration used to support the "to- be" business process maps.
• Production Pilot(s) - Design, development and execution of well-planned business flow test suites.
• Cut-over Plans- Delivery of a detailed cut-over plan covering all aspects of production implementation of HITS HR/Payroll applications. Topics include data conversion planning, user training, production software and hardware configuration, disaster recovery, final testing and management and end-user sign off.
• End-User Training- Design, development and delivery of site-customized HITS HR/Payroll applications education for end-user groups.
• Post Production Support- On-site support of newly implemented modules, including help desk services, business flow walk-through and follow-on HITS HR/Payroll applications training.
• Providing support and assistance to colleagues to make effective use of available IT systems and software.
• Developing, testing and implementing solutions to improve workplace productivity through the use of IT.
• Using the advanced features of IT Application Software in the creation and amendment of many types of formatted information including documents, diagrams, spreadsheets and presentations.
• Responding to hardware and software problems; setting up user hardware, software and security; designing solutions to improve business processes using IT.
