Child Protection Technical Officer and Focal Point for Safeguarding and PSEA

• Provide Child Protection trainings and technical support to staff and partners and share child protection materials, tools and methodologies with staff.
• Plan, design and deliver gender-based training to WCH staff and partners and ensure the mainstreaming of GBV in WCH implementation activities.
• Assist in designing and developing child protection programs and activities within WCH strategies and assist in designing child protection capacity building plans for staff and partners.
• Make frequent field visits to follow up on the quality of implementation of child protection activities and identify any adjustments needed including additional staffing or staff training
• Manage and supervise the team of community care workers, providing oversight, setting goals, action plans, conducting performance appraisals, and ensuring their professional development.
• Work closely with other child protection staff to identify child protection issues
• Represent WCH externally in relevant platforms and networks focused on child protection themes
• Contribute in the development and the revision of child protection materials developed in working groups
• Ensure staff commitment to safeguarding and PSEA policies.
• Collaborate with partners to establish Safeguarding and PSEA procedures.
• Plan and deliver training for WCH and partner staff on Safeguarding and PSEA.
• Conduct safeguarding investigations when necessary, in coordination with the National CSG Focal point.
• Maintain an ongoing cycle of training and refresher sessions.

• Provide coaching, Monitoring and training to Community based PSS facilitators and the community focal points on the Community Based PSS and training curriculums of DRC
• Empower and build the capacity of the community FPs to provide vulnerable children and caregivers with CB PSS, Child Protection, Gender Based Violence’s key messages and information on the available services.
• Identify safe spaces to provide community based PSS that adhere to the quality checklists for center-based
