TRANSFORMING THE USER EXPERIENCE:
• Research, Define / Redefine, and Execute UX Vision and Strategy for the Company.
• Support development of innovative new business models (eg, deliver 2x disruption-opportunity presentations per year)
• Improve experiences for customers by ensuring high-quality design, including ownership of all front-end interaction points (eg, company website)
• Drive design standardization across the organization with biennial design-standard reviews and 2 to 4 training sessions per year for designers
TRANSFORMING THE ORGANIZATION:
• Represent design at top level of the organization: 2x CEO leadership meetings per month, 3x to 4x board meetings each year
• Spread design by creating a common language and set of practices across organization (eg, by hosting 2x education sessions a month)
TRANSFORMING THE DESIGN TEAM:
• Develop design team skills, supporting regular conference visits for different skill sets (eg, user-experience conference)
• Nurture a thriving community of designers through monthly town halls, ideally 2x per month stand-ups
• Build and maintain the design team (including 3x campus recruiting visits)
• Represent organization’s brand at functions and in press (2 conference presentation per year, 2 articles)
• Facilitate work sessions with product teams and users to define key design goals and requirements.
CORE RESPONSIBILITIES:
• Define the Experience Design vision and strategy across the company along with the UX process planning & execution.
• Build top-notched user experience design team who are able to understand and implement the above mentioned UX process.
• Work with marketing, product management, R&D and customer support to define and execute on the end-to-end customer experience at both the macro and micro interaction level.
• Define critical KPIs, metrics, and business outcomes that deliver an ROI to the organization and communicate them effectively.
• Organize the skillsets that deliver the designs and interactions with other departments to execute and demonstrate great design.
• Infuse the culture with a design thinking mindset—a creative approach to solve business, product and user problems with design first approach.
• Communicate that great user experience leads to great business and great business leads to sales and profits.
• Design resource allocation and management to ensure smooth sprint deliveries.
• Coaching and mentoring team members in meetings and training sessions.
• Transfer projects / products vision and user experience design best practices to team.
• Ensure the best User experience practices and processes based on the customer personas and empathy maps.
• Collaboration with product / project directors & managers to understand and validate the problems and align the best design decisions to create flawless user experience.
• Ownership of design and ensure the qualitative and quantitative user research efforts to identify user needs and execution for the best user experience.
