Managing the medical equipment procurement process.
Review of MEQ Shop drawings and proposing alterations to ensure minimal variation from consultant drawings if any.
Daily site supervision and inspections in parallel with construction, to ensure all medical equipment pre-installation requirements are in line with medical contractor’s shop drawings and consultant’s 1/50 drawings, including room dimensions, utilities’ location and specifications, etc.
Supervise the installation of new medical equipment.
Supervise the clinical / technical staff training on new medical equipment following installation, testing and preliminary acceptance.
Act as liaison between the Main Contractor and MEQ sub-contractor in representing the client and consultant with issues related to medical spaces and medical equipment coordination before, during and after installation.
Managing the medical equipment installation process including: delivery schedule, allocated resources and staff, reporting damages in any during product delivery/unpacking/assembly, receive factory acceptance test certificates, ensure the testing and commissioning protocols used on site are in line with manufacturers’ requirements, receiving of required warranties/guarantees and handing over of medical equipment.
• Generating Medical Equipment and Hospital Furniture Concept Report describing
various medical equipment and furniture systems platforms available to-date and discussing each platform at the systemic level to be able to provide a set of recommendations for adoption/modification.
• Generating Room as well as major Medical Equipment Data sheets.
• Preparing BOQ, Room Schedule and Budget Estimation.
• Generating technical Specifications for Medical Equipment and Furniture.
• Preparing Tender/ Purchase documents for Medical and non-Medical Equipment.
• Reviewing and Validation of tenders for medical and non-Medical Equipment.
• Review architectural drawings updates for ensure equipment location and rough-ins.
• Visit job site to confirm rough-in installation as required.
• Complete existing equipment analysis to determine items for reuse in the project.
• Coordinate storage and final installation of medical equipment.
• Supervision over installation and commissioning of medical equipment.
• Organizing a complete filing and documentation system for Capital equipment.
• Responsible for maintaining knowledge and understanding of emerging technologies and products.

• Supervision of civil contractor on issues related to medical spaces and medical equipment.
• Managing the medical equipment procurement process.
• Coordinating and supervising the delivery, storing, unpacking, installation, testing, commissioning, training and handing over of medical equipment and medical furniture.
• Manage all documentation material corresponding to medical equipment
• Command and order necessary new items
• Assure periodic and occasional maintenance activities
• Control quality of services and equipment
• Control conformity, state, installation and training aspects of received items
• Assure safety of equipment on both user and patient
• Submit Tenders study and analysis of specifications-costs factors, in addition to administrative contract details assignment

• Solve, treat and try to prevent accidental events inside the Biomedical engineering and with other departments
• Coordination between the RHUH biomedical department, and the service provider company, concerning all the issues of maintenance activities
