Tendering Work
• Reviewed prime documents and all tender documents including special specification, tender drawings, estimated bill of quantities and other documents to understand the project and all the instructions by the client

• Prepared shop drawings, bar bending schedules, setting out and levels for vehicular underpass and five bridges (box girder type) and prepared construction methodologies and traffic management plans for the execution of work
• Prepared quantity take-offs for all items of work and monthly interim payment as per specified method of measurement, and generated variation orders for project and other details related to quantity surveying work
• Liaised with suppliers for the request of quotations, materials supply, inspection of materials, materials approval request etc.
• Made recommendations to improve design, construction means and methods and materials based on field or changing conditions
• Controlled engineering activities to maintain work standards, adhere to timelines and meet quality assurance targets
• Represented the contractor in regular meetings and occasions requiring co-ordination with the client's representative "Majid Al Futaim" and consultant "Parsons"
• Supervised, organized and monitored site activities such as reinforcement work, formwork, concrete pouring, finishing works, testing of materials etc.
• Liaised with respective authorities to get permit for some activities such as night activities at Muscat expressway, permit for electrical installations etc.
Project: Design and Construction of Additional Interchanges for Al Mubaila south Along Muscat Expressway
• Prepared detailed shop drawings, bar bending schedules, setting out and levels for three overpass bridges, culverts, retaining walls, and other reinforced concrete structures
• Prepared road drawings and data including road alignments, profiles, cross sections every 10 meters and coordinates with levels for more than 1.5 million cubic meters of filling and cutting roads with their protections, utilities, sign boards, road markings etc.
• Prepared detailed drawings and as-built drawings for all items of work including earthworks, pavements, structural works, incidental construction, MEP works etc.
• Modified the design of some roads, proposed new diversions as per approved specification using AutoCAD Civil 3D software
• Measured and valued the work done on-site and prepared monthly interim payment and checked the same with cost consultant for approval
• Checked the invoices of subcontractors and suppliers and provided them with all data they required for the execution of work
• Supervised the submittal and approval of all technical drawings and documents including shop drawings, as-built drawings, RFIs, MARs etc.
• Liaised with client "Muscat Municipality" and consultant "Parsons" to negotiate new proposals and design modifications
• Supervised, organized and monitored the execution of some site activities such as the installation of traffic signs, overhead sign boards, installation of utilities, incidental construction etc.
