• Manage the maintenance, development, performance, governance, administration and delivery of the insurance provision for the organisation to produce an efficient service and delivery solution, maximising efficiency, performance and best value against pre-agreed targets.
• Ensuring that the insurance team understands its duties and its role within the organisation

• To interact continuously and build adequate rapport and professional relationship with the key Customers, Brokers & Reinsurers.

Duties & Responsibilities
• To ensure that all the roles and responsibilities of insurance department are met continuously and consistently
• To exercise continuous vigil and identify newer areas in the business where insurable interest exists.
• To supervise the insurance team, in order to ensure that tasks set always meet the dept; objectives.
• To interact continuously and build adequate rapport and professional relationship with the underwriting & technical teams of the insurers empanelled with us.
• To obtain technical as well as professional advices from the top rated, underwriters as well as loss adjustors on all insurance matters, as per requirements of group entities.

3. Handling all Construction related insurance in UK (Nine ELMS)
• Handling Claims above AED 10, 000 (for all Classes)
• Negotiating with Insurance Companies
• Negotiating with Brokers and Re insurance
• Maintaining a very good relationship with Insures companies and Brokers
•Through review of all incoming risks and their proper evaluation and submission of RI Slip to Re Insurers.
•Providing competitive terms to Underwriters with reasonable loading. PWR (Premium without risk)
•Maintaining very good relationship with Reinsures companies and Re Insurance Brokers
•While considering various aspect are kept into consideration, volume and nature of business, claim history, Loss history in such type of risk, payment history, Client's / Broker's association with Salama, current market atmosphere and so on.
•Analysis of Risk Inspection Report and taking adequate action e.g. instructing to issue risk improvement letter, incorporating suitable condition and warranties in policy to secure Salama's interest. Any denial of underwriting a risk or withdrawal of cover are thoroughly consulted with line managers.
•Managing and resolving various day to day matters and other disputes with brokers, client’s employees to Maintain smooth flow and execution of work.
•Deadlines and timely issuance and submission of all documents are maintained. Accuracy of work and avoidance of gross negligence in policy documents and technical matter are strictly observed.
•CLAIMS - Claims are brought to me for review (where Re insurers are involved) once reviewed by other line manager. Any observation made are discussed with the concerned person and any changes, correction necessary and suitably attended.
