Define, propose and implement a global insurance purchasing
strategy.
- Be the company insurance expert and direct and guide the
businesses in such matters.

provide advice and guidance to the Business.
- Manage the global external relationships with service providers
including Brokers, Insurers, Claim Handlers and Loss Adjusters.

• Manage the companys full insurance program, including handling CAR /PI
insurance policies and claims for Burj Azizi, the worlds second tallest tower (750 M)
• Introduced Owner Controlled Insurance Program (OCIP) to the organization to
cover their projects with comprehensive coverage for Azizi Venice and other
upcoming real estate projects. (Azizi Venice CV: approx. USD 5 Billion)
• Provide guidance and support to internal department heads on claim
preparations to ensure 100% settlement without rejections from insurance
companies.
• Assist in designing and developing (PMO/Contracts) insurance strategy for all
classes of insurance.
• Ensure adequate insurance cover for the company at all times.
• Provide assistance to the internal legal team on third-party insurance-related
allegations and claims.
• Review insurance programs and risk transfer arrangements to protect
organizational interests.
• Liaise with insurance brokers/insurers for claims management across all lines of
business.
• Supervise and manage a team of four staff within the insurance department

• Closely monitoring the monthly production performance and achieving the monthly, quarterly & yearly targets.
• Analyzing and reporting monthly production and deficit reports to Executive Manager

• Responsible for implementing the underwriting philosophy and guidelines of the
company and pricing products.
• Responsible for generating budgeted underwriting surplus in each class of
business.
• Support growth in sales to facilitate delivery of overall business performance
targets, key performance indicators.
• Negotiating with brokers/reinsurers to settle on appropriate coverage levels and
pricing for new policies.
• Reviewing applications for coverage, assessing risk levels on a case-by-case basis,
and making recommendations to the senior underwriter.
• Handling complex insurance claims, including those involving bodily injury or
property damage etc.
• Reviewing the companys business plan to assess its ability to pay claims in the
future.
• Managing a team of underwriters, including hiring new employees, training staff
members, and setting goals and objectives.

• To obtain technical as well as professional advices from the top rated, underwriters as well as loss adjustors on all insurance matters, as per requirements of group entities.

•Through review of all incoming risks and their proper evaluation and submission of RI Slip to Re Insurers.
•Providing competitive terms to Underwriters with reasonable loading. PWR (Premium without risk)
•Maintaining very good relationship with Reinsures companies and Re Insurance Brokers
•While considering various aspect are kept into consideration, volume and nature of business, claim history, Loss history in such type of risk, payment history, Clients / Brokers association with Salama, current market atmosphere and so on.
•Analysis of Risk Inspection Report and taking adequate action e.g. instructing to issue risk improvement letter, incorporating suitable condition and warranties in policy to secure Salamas interest. Any denial of underwriting a risk or withdrawal of cover are thoroughly consulted with line managers.
•Managing and resolving various day to day matters and other disputes with brokers, client’s employees to Maintain smooth flow and execution of work.
•Deadlines and timely issuance and submission of all documents are maintained. Accuracy of work and avoidance of gross negligence in policy documents and technical matter are strictly observed.
•CLAIMS - Claims are brought to me for review (where Re insurers are involved) once reviewed by other line manager. Any observation made are discussed with the concerned person and any changes, correction necessary and suitably attended.
