• Developing and overseeing the systems that ensure the Company complies with all
applicable codes, in addition to its legal and statutory requirements;

• Liaising with external regulators and advisers, such as lawyers and auditors;

• Drafting and advising on contracts for joint ventures, standard form sale terms, specific sale
purchase contracts, service contracts, shareholders agreements etc.
• Advised Tethyan Copper Company, Australia in International Arbitration before ICSID and
ICC Tribunals and Shamil Bank of Bahrain (Ithmar Bank) before GCCAC.
• Vast experience in handling commercial litigation representing clients such as Shamil Bank
of Bahrain, Millennium Finance Corporation, General Electric and Toyota Motor Corporation.
• Advised on employment, work permit matters and commercial disputes including
shareholders rights, directors duties and related matters.

• Advised on trademarks, copyright protection and patents, media, communication,
entertainment, pharmaceuticals, licensing and franchising agreements and data protection.
• Handled contentious and non-contentious matters relating to copyrights and trademarks.
Worked on registration of first ever GI of Pakistan known as BASMATI as collective mark.
• Formulation of Laws and Bye laws for various government and private sector organizations. Vast experience in commercial litigation with special emphasis on protection of
shareholders rights, challenging tax legislation, winding up of companies etc.

• Assisted through legal research and court work pertaining to various contentious and non
contentious Civil, Criminal, Constitutional, Corporate and Labor matters.
• Handling litigation at Civil, District & Sessions Court and High Court.
• Draft pleadings and render legal opinions.
