Education

Master's degree, Business Management MSc
  • at The University of Hull
  • January 2011

I have completed the Master degree in Business Management MSc without reset or fail. It is 180 credits, and it is three semesters to complete it. I have already studied many subjects such as Human Resource Management, Business Ethics, Finance, Organization Studies, Project Management, International Business, and Principles of Marketing Management. My dissertation was in training and development, which it is “Employees’ perception of the benefits and barriers of training and development: a case study of Advanced Electronics Company”. This dissertation is more than 25000 words, which it based on the perceptions and opinions of employees. Advantages of training and development include improving and increase in performance, productivity, outcome, quality, and so on. Regarding barriers, there are many barriers that face this topic, but this study focuses on three types of obstacles; negative cultural norms, and transferring the courses to the real work and evaluation of training and development programmes. Therefore, the findings show that training and development in AEC are affected by all the three barriers. Regarding negative cultural norms nepotism, point of view about courses, managerial support and so on significantly affect T&D. Another barrier identified in this study is transfer of training. It is impossible to transfer everything but some major obstacles are highlighted, which are related to trainees, trainers, the organisational environment, or/and training courses. Also, training evaluation in AEC faces several challenges, such lack of time, data, criteria and feedback. Although these barriers could limit the benefits of T&D, AEC benefits from T&D programmes. Furthermore, every subject has its own research, and every one of which was about 4000 words. For example, HRM has two researches one of which was: create a company and put policy for recruitment and critic the policy that you already created.
