I am working as specialist HSE and my responsibility as daliy monthly and annual:
daily: check safety of workers and their commitment to health and safety rules like using PPE(mask) and other equipment (metal gloves) for hand held cutting machines. checking the condition of fire alarm panel it's giving zone and connected correctly with all fire device in the building. checking generator room to insure the pump working as it should. checking the working injury and check report if any and make report abot any accednt and submit to HSE management.
Monthly: Cheking the sate of extinguisher and hosreels and make sure the condition of pressure is good. checking the state of smoke and heat detector in the all building and fix the damage one. checking the measurements of light(lux) and sound(dB) withe meter devices for both of them.
yearly: cordnating and preparing a safey training accompany with civil defense which contains fire training and first aid training like(CPR) and maintain the knowledge to all employees.
In my daily duty I will make sure to do:
• Monitor, analyze and evaluate the work environment and report to the Director of Safety Management and take corrective measures.
• Ensure that staffs are committed to safety rules and take precautions in the workplace and ensure that the working environment is safe.
• Ensure that the corridors and the workplace are free and also ensure that the areas of firefighting equipment are free from any obstacles that are difficult to use in cases of fire.
• Inspection of fire-fighting systems installed from: (FM 200 system, fire alarm system (smoke detector, heat detector and beam detectors), water sprinkler, fire extinguishers of all kinds, fire hydrant, fire hose reel, fire alarm pull station, fire blanket and fire suppression system in the kitchens (Ansul system).
• Communicate with the companies concerned with fire and firefighting systems for maintenance according to the periodic schedule of all equipment to ensure that they are still usable and perform their function to complete readiness.
