Responsible for ensuring the capability and capacity of the Finished Products and Raw Materials Supplying,
Transportation System and Distribution Centers / Warehouses as well as transportation for Egypt in terms of
Cost, Service and Control. I’m also responsible for all importation, exportation, customization in addition to
Quality Assurance.
In my current role, I have been able to manage the startup of a 40, 000 Pallet spot 3PL warehouse while leading
a 50% reduction in the cost of local transportation in 2 years and 30% reduction in the cost of warehousing in
the same period while maintaining breakthrough service to customers. These results have been recognized as
regional benchmark for P&G.
In August 2010, I successfully led an organizational integration between the different logistics organizations in
Egypt to move into a single country logistics organization responsible for all finished products and Raw
material warehousing and transportation; this scope covers:
An organization of more than 40 P&G employees and more than 140 contractors.
7 warehouses with more than 150, 000 pallet spots capacity.
Managing local transportation fleet of more than 90 trucks/trailers.
Daily average shipment of more than 4000 pallets/day in addition to inbound receiving of raw materials.
Manages current and future demand requirements with manufacturing and supplier
capabilities/capacities to ensure completion of customer requirements
Implements methods, practices and techniques to ensure the most economical movement of materials
through the supply chain to achieve cost-effective logistics practices and inventory levels while meeting
customer delivery requirements
Manages plant purchasing activities for items procured on local basis in order to compliment centrally
purchased items
Analyzes data, including enterprise requirements planning information and prepares consolidated
managerial reports as needed to facilitate and recommend actions to ensure plant/product line optimal
supply chain execution
Ensures correct planning parameters and transaction disciplines are utilized in order execution systems
to ensure proper order generation and inventory balances
Manages material cost and schedule impact of proposed engineering changes in addition to taking
necessary actions to ensure successful implementation and incorporation of approved engineering
releases
Ensures quality of shipping documentation to meet corporate financial and customer audit requirements
Devises and manages physical inventory audit methodology which meets corporate, governmental and
customer specifications
Evaluates operational performance of the group in order to facilitate performance management, merit
promotions, job transfers, dismissals, commendations, etc.
Coordinates with central Corporate Supply Chain Function to provide data and participate in teams in
order to drive best practices across the organization.
Support compliance initiatives and corporate commodity, logistics, and inventory strategies to achieve
synergy across the operation
Leads the implementation of lean manufacturing tools including Push/ pull systems, leveling and visual
management systems
