Position: Safety Officer
Responsibilities: 1 Ensure appointment schedules and meetings are regularly updated and reflect the priorities as necessary to suit Safety procedures.
1 Ensure overall construction site compliance to safety standard and regulations.
1 Inspects facilities regularly, enforce HSE standards at site and provides appropriate PPE and precautions.
1 Ensure safe work condition and implementation of good Health and Safety Management measures.
1 Assists the Safety Manager to handle duties like: daily compliance of Standard, Procedures and provision of Personal Protective Equipment for workers.
1 Provides administrative assistance to all special committees and task groups and communicate safety roles and responsibilities to staff and ensure they are all adhered to.
7 Ensure that competent persons inspect all equipment with inspection tag and colour codes as applicable.
8 Ensure maximum protection for personnel, assets, equipment, visitors and environment.

Responsibilities: 2 Ensure work place precautions are effective, efficient and review if necessary
2 Submission of daily observation, description and report to my Project Manager.
2 Conducted regular safety inspection to identify and eliminate hazards in the workplace.
2 Identified unsafe acts and conditions, investigated root causes and identified corrective and preventive actions.
2 Co-ordinated site emergency evacuation training every 3 months to ensure that all staff and employees become familiar with emergency response procedures.
2 Initiated immediate stoppage at any operation or work that is keen to cause death or injury or extensive damages and properly, notifying all concerned for immediate corrective measures.
2 Responsibilities for work site safety including personal protective equipment, Fire prevention, Permit - to - work system, Excavation Safety, material handing safety.
2 Recording of all accidents, near misses and proffer corrective actions and solutions.
