* Manage Business planning & ongoing planning of merchandise & forecasting of sales, subsequently accountable for sales / margin measurement.
*Ensure margin targets are achieved through timely management of OTB (Open to buy), terminal stock management and retail price architecture.
* Decide product procurement through host brand range reviews or direct negotiation, including in season buys.
* Assess store execution of merchandising plans, recommend optimum space management options (where applicable) based on store trends / category sales performance.
* Recommend retail pricing levels, decide sale lines & mark down percentage strategy.
* Develop relationships with internal/ external contacts, and assess appropriate & critical information.
* Identify /plan promotional events, & deliver in consultation with Operations & Visual Merchandising.
* Coach & monitor performance of merchandise team within brand. Supervise their activities, maintaining brand & latest fashion trend awareness.
* Pro-actively utilize available software/ systems & identify improvements / requirements for further action.
* Manage / maintain stock file accuracy with a focus on auditable elements.

Job roles and responsibilities: -
* Weekly review of sales, stock and markdown levels.
* Stock Management in Stores.
* Assessing forward intake needs, identifying sales opportunities and excess stock threats with immediate solution.
* Forecasting sales and stock patterns for the end of season to influence future buys.
* Ensure the Brand concepts deliver the Sales & Margin according to the agreed Business plan.
* Category planning and store opening packages for new stores.
* Competition Analysis with the prices for local and international competitors in the region.
* Ensure minimal aged and terminal stock existence in the business.
* Tracker implementation - The need to compare and contrast different trading types (high stock, LFL growth) required reports to allow the buying team to focus on the key sales drivers for each store within each market.
* Cross functional responsibilities:
1. Liaise with Supply chain and IT to ensure the allocated units are picked and delivered on time.
2. Work closely with the VM and Marketing team to maximize sales opportunities at Full price.
3. Liaise with the operations team to maximize conversion and reduce threats of overstocking stores.
