• Plan and execute major cross-client procurement initiatives to achieve Altair’s strategic sourcing goals and objectives.
• Identify the required subject matter expertise and resources to effectively execute priority procurement initiatives.
• Ensure that major procurement initiatives are completed in accordance with corporate sourcing policies and procedures and that the resulting contractual agreements are compliant with Altair Canada Customer Master Service Agreement flow through requirements.
• Liaise with Risk Management, Legal Counsel, and Finance as needed.
• Identify opportunities to standardize service delivery scopes of work, including service level models, within cross-client service agreements.
• Negotiate volume discount and rebate structures within major agreements, wherever possible.
• Manage the life cycle of major supplier agreements, including the planning and facilitation of proactive supplier performance reviews.
• Perform sourcing opportunity assessment analyses to help prioritize the initiatives that will best support the corporate sourcing strategies.
• Team with Central Support Functions (i.e. Finance, Technical Services, and Shared Services) to demonstrate the cost benefit/return on investment of major cross client and corporate services agreements.
• Develop and implement corporate sourcing policies and business procedures to support Customer Business Group, Lines of Business, and Central Support Function teams to source non-major service requirements.
• Monitor and report on the performance of procurement initiatives and major services agreements.
• Analyse KPI results and identify continuous improvement business process and sourcing opportunities to support corporate operational excellence goals and objectives.
• Support major customer business development opportunities and / or customer transitions.
• Support internal and external audit requirements in relation to sourcing policies and procedures.
• Other duties as assigned.

• Develop and manage the procurement department including setting targets and monitoring performance
• Develop and deliver a Procurement Strategy to deliver the target benefits and financial savings
• Engage support and agreement for the strategy from key stakeholders so that implementation and compliance are optimal; promote the effective management of suppliers to sustain value throughout the life of the contract
• Establish new processes and systems for effective procurement; develop an eProcurement vision and identify solutions for the Sage upgrade; investigate opportunities for broader savings in inventory and warehousing costs
• Provide specialist advice, guidance and service on leading practice procurement; lead the identification, assessment and management of potential risks associate with differing sourcing strategies; provide insight through the analysis of spend, supply markets and savings;
• Define and manage key supplier relationships to deliver breakthrough performance in cost, service and quality, including technical input to negotiations on strategically significant contracts and negotiation and management of third party service providers
• Develop and agree annual departmental cost savings targets for the annual Budget process; develop and agree the annual procurement plan with directors and departmental heads
• Develop a savings reporting mechanism with Finance which is understood and accepted by the user departments. Produce regular reports on performance and provide comprehensive management information and in-depth analysis when requested including spend analysis, savings secured and potential savings - for forecast and budgets.

• Establish the means and mechanisms for effective post award agreement management.
• Develop a wide variety of service and supply contracts for operations and maintenance.
• Develop contracts for the provision of Engineering, Procurement and Construction management
(EPCM) services in support of a capital project.
• Lead functional teams comprising of members from business areas and various stakeholders through the acquisition process.
• Develop procurement plans and strategies for the acquisition process.
• Ensure that procurement and business processes and procedures are followed.
• Identify and resolve issues, bottlenecks, problems, opportunities and challenges in the acquisition process.
• Administration of contracts (changes and amendments and close out as required).
• Ensure adherence to corporate risk policies.
• Liaison with all stakeholders in the process of developing and setting up contracts.

Follow up Sending inquiries “for procurement” to various Suppliers & Sub-Contractors from the
ASSL or SSSL.

Follow up Preparation of the Documents (Drawings, Specifications & BOQ) for each Sub-
Contractor and reaching it to them.

Follow up Suppliers/Sub-Contractors for their Quotations.

Sub-Contractors/ Suppliers evaluation rating.

Follow up Preparation of a comparative statement of the suppliers/Sub-Contractors for their
Commercial evaluation, negotiations and further negotiations before Finalizing the best rates.

Issue a comprehensive Letter of Intent for the Supplier/Sub-Contractor keeping in
view the scope of works, quality and safety procedures, payment details and all other terms and conditions.

Obtain acceptance from the Supplier/Sub-Contractor for the price & Terms.
Laise with Sub-Contractors/Suppliers, Project Managers & Engineers to resolve issues, clarify
supplier/Sub-Contractor queries etc.

Follow up records updating & Reports as and when the same is received.
