I started at Glazers as a truck loader in May of 2000. I gradually learned all aspects of running a warehouse and got into a Management role in April of 2006. I was given an opportunity to manage the Inventory Control department. We were able as a team to reduce our over/short balance by 60 % after one year and 90 % after 2 years. We reduced our driver shorts by 45 % after the first two years on the job. I ran the Inventory Control department until August of 2010. I was then given the opportunity to run our distribution warehouse. We had over 30 million of on hand inventory at most times of the year. We were able to work our efficiencies to be recognized as the number 1 distribution warehouse for the state of Texas for Glazers distributors. I was managing a warehouse crew of 17 people. We had over 10, 000 active SKU's and worked with over 1, 000 + vendors in our inbound operations.
