JOB TITLE: Rental Sales Manager
Job highlights:
• Plan and prepare the rental sales annual business plan
• Responsible for achieving the business plan sales targets
• Estimate customer demand, and determine the types and specifications of vehicles
and ensure the availability of desired vehicle in fleet
• Set targets for maximum fleet utilization
• Liaises with company officials to develop methods and procedures to increase sales,
attract potential customers, and promote business
• Generates sales targets by securing new rental contracts to achieve departmental
sales objective as planned
• Manages and supervises all sales efforts and monitor existing contracts to ensure
that all contract terms and conditions are met in due time
Operational tasks:
• Manages all operational activities such as vehicle pricing, quotations preparation
and submission, negotiation with customers and attending business meetings
• Supervises and directs staff on preparing different quotations or contracts by
overseeing the customer's and company's interest
• Establishes credit policies and operating procedures
Capture all details of movement of fleet for rent or transfer from one location to
another.
• Perform periodic checks of mileage and condition of vehicles, and entry of data
• Ensure that vehicles have valid registration and insurance
• Pre-set preventive maintenance system for spot rental fleet
• Conduct inspections of all branches to ensure that company SOP and policies are
followed, and proper documentation of fleets that are either on rent / in service or
parked in front of the branches
• Follows-up on achieving high rates of utilization on fleet and Drivers
Management Reports and Documentation:
• Reviews Fleet inventory and sales records to prepare reports for management and
budget department
• Prepares and analyzes all periodical reports, and reports the results to the COO with
suggestions for improvement
• Performs necessary documentation and record keeping for all contractual documents
and other legal documents related to rental contracts
• Maintains proper records and documentation for all spot rental fleets especially
those involving opened/ closed rental agreements,
Administration of Collection of Receivables
Ensures issuance of invoices either before or upon expiry of rental agreement and
return of rented vehicles.
• Approves the submitted invoices to send to clients and monitors Branch Controllers,
Rental Sales Agent, and Collectors regarding collections
• Oversees the departmental sales collection of rental charges for individuals
• Follows-up regularly on the Rental Sales team on payment commitments and
ensures on-time receivables
• Follows-up and organizes to withdraw the rented cars from customers who have
payment dues of 60 days or above
• Proceeds with legal proceedings to raise commercial cases of bad receivables to the
legal affairs providing them with all required documentation such as rental agreement,
invoices, etc. proving the statement of receivables at court
• Handles defaulters, who have non-payments, delayed payments and other
irregularities of 60 days or more, ensure to be blacklisted
• Timely update of the receivable aging list and contacts such customers by offering
to provide them aftersales service and on receiving their rented vehicles for servicing,
immediately proceed with the necessary actions to withdraw such vehicles from them
• Review the collection reports every month and prepare commissions as per company

• Develops proactive plans for retaining existing customers, enhancement of
relationships and penetrating new markets and with potential customers
• Monitors sales activities to ensure that customers receive satisfactory service and
quality vehicles
