NTD considered one of the largest owning company in the hotels sector in Jordan since it owns seven(3, 4, 5-Stars) properties in Jordan: Crowne Plaza/Amman, Intercontinental /Aqaba Resort, Holiday Inn, Crowne Plaza /Dead Sea, Crowne Plaza and Petra Guest House / Petra, Amman Cham palace /Amman, and Madaba Inn/ Madaba.

Scope of work:

Responsible for ensuring the best implementation of the management agreements with the hotels operating companies, monitoring the hotels market place among the competitors to insure maximum market penetration, And responsible of evaluating the hotels financial and operational performance As well to evaluate the hotels business plans and ensure that the hotels operators implementing the best practices in operating the company properties, and evaluating new investments and services that appear to be sound and profitable to the company, after performing a thorough investigation and future expectations and feasibility studies.

Duties and responsibilities

Operation

•Ensuring that the operating company is properly implementing the management agreement and acts on any deviation to the hotel management agreement in consultation with the owner
•Providing the company executive committee with the hotels financial and operational performance evaluation summary
•Monitoring and controlling the financial results and budget of the hotels and providing a recommendation report to the company executive committee.
•Follow up and monitor assets replacement, additions and renovations. And insuring the best quality and prices were collected.


Marketing

•Reviewing marketing plans and following up on the operators acting to achieve the planned objectives.
•Evaluating factors that could affect marketing plans, such as economic climate, employment situation, competitive atmosphere, sales trend and legislative actions
•Monitoring the overall marketing performance and evaluates results and revises strategies, regularly visits and meets with DOSM and GM’s of the hotels in order to remain in touch and closer to the strategies creator and implementers.
•Conducts market research.
•Oversees marketing activities in the Hotels.
•Reviewing the business producer’s prices and contracts.

Investment

•Evaluating new investments and services that appear to be sound and profitable to the company, after performing a thorough investigation and future expectations and feasibility studies.
•Assuring that timely, accurate, reliable and meaningful information of the hotels is prepared and provided to the owning company.
•Preparing monthly reports that evaluate the performance of these investments or projects and provides the company directors with recommendations on what should be done with it.
•Monitoring the hotels renovation projects in term of the quality, timeframe and budget deviations .And provide the directors with the projects progress reports.
•Provides technical services with coordination with the technical department for any renovations, or changes in the offered services and facilities, with the necessary time plan, investment and coordination to the director’s approval.
•Auditing under-construction projects for the S.S.C such as: “Crowne Plaza /Dead Sea”.
•Preparing and awarding the Insurance Tenders for the S.S.C hotels.

Financial

•Preparing the financial analysis for the hotels performance.
•Preparing the financial comparisons reports.
•Preparing the hotels consolidated financial statements
•Preparing the company financial budget
•Preparing the hotels financial projection
•Monitor the hotels receivables and payables aging report and report to the company executive committee the status summary of these accounts
•Ensuring that hotels are implementing the updated edition of the uniformed system of account of the lodging industry.
•Reviewing and discussing the hotels financial budgets.
•Conducting operational long-term financial projections and plans.
•Participate in the preparation of the company annual reports.
