• Overall Contract and Commercial administration of the entire projects.
• Assist the tender department in bid submissions and identifying the potential risk associated with the tenders.
• Assist the preparation of project budget and cost control process with the cost control department.
• Assist Subcontractor selection, negotiation and the preparation of subcontract agreements.
• Review and advise regarding the advance, performance, retention bank guarantees and project insurances.
• Manage and assist the QS with the payments, submission of variations (Change Management), negotiation and finalization with the Engineer/Employer.
• Assist the planners and QS in the preparation, negotiation of EOT and Prolongation Cost Claims with the Engineer/Employer.
• Assist the QS in the preparation of Cost to Complete, Statement at Completion and settlement of final accounts for the project with the Engineer/Employer.
• Actively involved in the Claim management and Dispute resolution process, including assisting adjudication, arbitration and the court cases.
• Attending major Contractual meetings with the Engineer and the Employer and providing feasible solutions for all post contract administration issues.
Projects: Residential and Commercial Projects including *Star Hotels and School, Total AED 1.3 Billion.
• Involved in the review and advice of construction contracts prepared by the Consultants. Contract forms used FIDIC Red book 1999, NEC, Maintenance agreements and bespoke contracts.
• Reviewed variations (Changes Management), payment certificates, Insurances and guarantees submitted by the contractor and also reviewed the Construction Contracts prepared by the Consultants.
• Oversaw Commercial management, including presentation and reviewing monthly updates of Commercial reports to the Client.
• Monitored cost management activities including Project Budget review, accruals and updated on a monthly basis incorporating the values of the approved and anticipated variations, potential claims and any potential risks which may affect the project overall cost.
• Review contractual notices, claim register and contractual correspondences prepared by the Consultants and provided timely advice.
• Review the recommendation report prepared by the consultant for the Time extension claims submitted by the contractors.
• Actively involved in Bid Management including prequalification of Contractors, preparation of tender list & invitation, reviewing tender documents, involved in tendering, analysis & recommendations.
• Advising the consultant/client regarding the construction insurances and guarantee provisions and advice on any required amendments.
• Assisting in submission and settlement of variations (Change Management) and Claims. Finalizing monthly payment application with the Consultant and the Employer for the steady cash flow.
• Monitoring Project Budget, Cash Flow, Cost Control
and Monthly reporting.
• Negotiations of Contracts and Sub Contracts and
issuing Letter of Intent/ Award.
• Preparation, negotiation and settlement of EOT and
Prolongation Cost Claims.
• Assisting in the preparation of “Cost to Complete” and
Final accounts for the project.
• Claim Management and Dispute Resolution including
Mediation, Adjudication and amicable settlement.
Executed adjudication for 5 projects in Dubai.
• Assistance to Arbitration and court case management
in Dubai, UAE.
• Attending Contractual meetings with the Consultant
and the Employer. Issuance of Contractual Letters.
• Preparation of MOU’s, Construction Contracts and Consultancy Agreements, FIDIC interpretations.
• Commercial Management including presentation of
Commercial Reports to the Development Team.
• Tender Analysis, recommendation and Contract Award (Bid Management), Pre and Post Contract Management.
• Monitoring Project Budget & update on monthly basis and review Project Cash Flow.
• Approving Interim and Final Payment Certificates issued by the
