Currently Responsible for the product marketing and portfolio management of major terminal manufacturer's Smartphones and tablets portfolio (Samsung, Apple and BlackBerry), with the main responsibility of conducting marketing activities leading to the growth of the revenue stream generated from the sales through retail, distribution & B2B channels.

My current responsibilities include forecasting and setting marketing budgets, sales targets agreement, stakeholders alignment, Managing vendor and local distributors partnerships, initiating order requests, analyzing reports and overlooking all go to market activities for device propositions and new device launches while ensuring an exceptional customer experience.

Product Marketing & Supply Chain Sr. Team Leader - Recharge Cards في Vodafone

Previously led a team overlooking the marketing product management & supply chain of Recharge Cards, one of the most critical products to Vodafone Egypt. Setting out the strategy and building forecasts and plans ensuring constant availability of cards, conducting all related marketing activities and Initiating product development initiatives. Building and managing solid vendor partnerships to ensure portfolio diversity, flexibility, minimum costs and maintain highest product quality. The role profile and my personal achievements in the job included the following:

Set the Annual strategy for Recharge Cards in addition to Planning, Forecasting and issuing P.O’s for recharge cards (RC) to ensure continuous availability.

Introduced new vendors to provide diversity decreasing overall lead times and costs and guaranteeing backup plans in case of crisis.
Launched major pre-paid recharge promo’s, Promo based on Scratch & Win concept and launched new recharge card denominations to fit market needs.

Maintaining stock levels at perfect condition avoiding under or over stocks.

Overlooked and led the implementation of new technical systems to support increased recharge demands.

Constant fine-tuning and communication of forecasts to vendors and internal stakeholders to secure monthly production slots. As well as overlooking delivery schedules, ensuring availability of active cards, and guaranteeing business continuity.

Maintain vendor relationships with existing vendors, manage vendors selection process & negotiate prices.

Conducted the annual budgeting calculations for commercial & technical purposes

Led the upgrade of Vodafone’s RC platforms (Voucher Activation & Generation Servers) to increase capacity. Ensuring seamless customer experience and ensuring all channels are capable of handling both the old and new systems.

Developed new reporting schemes & Quality testing mechanisms to identify gaps, monitor performance and enhance customer experience and ensure revenue is flowing steadily.

In addition to this role, I was asked to lead the creation of a new Consumer Sales Strategy with the target of having a unified strategy for the Vodafone consumer sales department.

Product Marketing Sr. Team Leader - Mobile Payments في Vodafone

Previously managed the electronic Payments (ePayments) products, with the goal of increasing electronic recharge penetration. I have successfully increased penetration by 10% reaching yearly savings of more than 15 Million EGP through the effective product management. I have successfully enhanced the overall customer experience of using electronic TopUp, electronic Vouchers, Online re-charging. My additional achievements included:

Defined VF-EG’s electronic payment strategy with the aim to increase electronic penetration, achieve desired customer experience, increase distribution reach & channel visibility, and reduce costs.

Launched electronic Vouchers for the first time in the Egyptian market.

Went into partnerships and led the launch of 3 new electronic agents, now responsible for collecting the payments of more than 20% of the total revenue and reaching more than 60k additional outlets.

Engaged in defining the product goals, KPI’s, forecasts and
technical requirements to support electronic payment expansion and over-achieved all set Goals & KPIs achieving a yearly performance review rating of (E) Exceeding Expectations.

Developed & implemented successful customer & dealers
promotions and market pull activities.

Reviewed existing electronic agents contracts and managed new agents contracts to ensure commercial and financial mandates are met.

Built successful relationships with business stakeholders - Commercial Operations, Finance, Marketing, Customer Care, Sales, Technology etc.. to successfully implement the Strategy.

Defined, and implemented a set of housekeeping reports to allow accurate reporting & analysis of all electronic recharge methods and channels.

Identified and performed root cause analysis of all complex customer facing problems, Solving them with the support of key stakeholders and set processes to avoid their recurrence.

Product Marketing Team Leader - Smartphones and Mobile Internet في Vodafone

In one of the most exciting roles I have been involved in previously, I Managed the Mobile Internet & Smartphones propositions, where I have successfully driven growth in revenues by launching new data & device propositions and the effective commercial product management of the Vodafone Smartphone & Email portfolio (BlackBerry, Windows Mobile Email, iPhone, Android, Nokia, Samsung, etc..). I had the honor to launch propositions that met customers’ requirements and enhanced the mobile data experience for Vodafone's Business customers. I was fortunate to grow the business mobile data user customer base by 170% and drive revenue increase of around 140% YoY. Other achievements included:

Developed the Enterprise Business Units Smartphone & Data Strategy.

Maintained and managed close external relationships with key Vendors (RIM, Microsoft, Samsung, Nokia, Huawei, ZTE etc..)
Was responsible for the complete business model, including pricing, incentives, discounts, customer set-up charges, project costs and revenue targets and Over-Achieved all set KPI’s (Revenues, Gross Ads, Churn, etc..)

Launched new data propositions based on solid analysis providing more value to customers while ensuring creation of more revenue to Vodafone.

Ensured that the smartphone portfolio is constantly reviewed and in line with product roadmaps and delivery schedules to ensure strategic fit and profitability ensuring consistent first-to-market status.

Implemented all new product related go-to-market activities (ATL, BTL, internal comms etc..) across all business units and have conducted as well as old products retirement processes.
